Just started Keto this week and 5 days in and i’m already feeling amazing. I am 6ft 255lbs and I started Keto with a 36 hour fast then broke it with a salad w/ chicken/bacon/pickles. Anyways the fast went great and ever since I have been in ketosis(keto strip very dark purple) it feels like a never end supply of energy(kind of like im on coke ) The last 3 days I have been hitting the gym pretty hard (twice a day these last 2 days) because I haven’t been getting sore. So I did some leg presses and bam where the hell did that come from. I did 15 reps at 270lbs,12 reps at 360, 12 reps 450, 8 reps at 540 and finished with 3 reps at 630 So far I’m loving Keto with all this energy and ablility to eat alot of the things I like.

Also I tend to not eat close to my daily recommended limit, I usually eat about 50-75%. I feel like it should be fine since I am not hungry but any side effects to this? Been feelign great so seems to be working.

I’d try and get the protein in, The fat can come from body fat if you’re not hungry.

Iv’e been eating chicken and bacon too. I usually only eat about 50-75% of each fat/protein/carbs. I feel like if I eat more i’ll have to stuff myself. I am also eating in an 8 hour window.

Isn’t it amazing? The keto energy is slightly rediculous. When I started I felt so hyper all the time. I wonder if it mellows after a bit? I can’t tell because my baby has decided recently he doesn’t enjoy sleeping, so I get weird disjointed rest at night. Usually, this would have spelled for disaster, but I still have plenty of energy every day.

I have to start lifting. I’m only hearing amazing things about lifting and keto. Keep up the amazing work!

thank Jenni you too, and yea I have never had soooo much energy to work out with. I used to dread going to the gym ang half assed it when I did due to lack of energy. The last couple days I didn’t want to leave and have never lifted so heavy or so many set before.

@UnclePluck that’s a great beginning! Don’t forget to take lots of pics and body measurements before you shed too much weight!

yea I need to do that part still Ketoberry  I’m just wondering if im a freak or something because from what I hear from videos/research and the 2 keto dudes podcast I shouldn’t be feeling great already. The second day after my fast and starting keto I have crazy energy and feel great. The one thing I am worried about is that I don’t eat that much. So far I have never reached my recommended macros, usually 50-75% of what it suggests.

@UnclePluck I never experienced carb withdrawal/keto flu either, enjoy it!!

You’ve got the basics, EAT WHEN HUNGRY, enjoy!
