Where y’all all from?

(Jennibc) #81

I am FROM Los Angeles, but have lived all over the country. Presently, I am in the great state of Texas about a six hour drive plus or minus from Baton Rouge. I have passed through there several times on my way to NOLA.

Which island? I lived up in Seattle for a while so we’d sometimes go up to Vancouver, and my son worked on a film up there a few years back in Victoria and I learned that was on something called Vancover island, which is not a part of a Vancouver at all! Are you further north?

(Cary) #83

Gonzales, Louisiana here!

I know you don’t and I am not judging them. I just feel bad knowing how they have been duped by Big Food, Big Pharma and the medical field in general.

I’ll be 60 in January and so thankful I can zip through the store without any pain or leaning over on the cart handle to help prop me up.

I would eventually be them w/o keto. Something else may strike me but I’ll take my odds with better health through keto

@Jennibc I live on Vancouver Island, BC Canada, more to the southern end, near Victoria. It gets quite a bit less rain than the city of Vancouver. It is also less urban. There are a lot of small Gulf Islands between Vancouver Island and the mainland.
I used to live on one called Salt Spring. It is where many of the hippies moved in the 70’s and 80’s.

Born in Indiana, U.S., Ohio most of my life, worked in Canada 1986-1994, lived in Nova Scotia 1990-1994, back to Ohio afterwards and thence to Georgia in 2004. Not home much; work all over the U.S. I like both Canadian Bacon and American Bacon.

Yes, I’m further north. For those who are interested, here’s a map showing where Vancouver Island is. Yellow is Canada and white is USA. As you can see, there are many smaller islands between Vancouver Island and the mainland.

Ha! Try being from West Virginia. I love my state, I truly do. It is beautiful, most of the people are friendly and caring, very little crime (well, used to be). However, if you believe the media (and most of the US does), we’re a bunch of back woods, toothless, barefoot, inbred imbeciles. It seems like every news story features the most idiotic people. It can be very frustrating. Sure, we’ve got people like that here, but I used to travel the country for work and I can testify that those types are everywhere.

Sadly the rumors of drug problems are becoming more and more true. If you go into a small town near me, it’s starting to feel like the zombie apocalypse.
