When to cut a fast short?

I have done a 24 hr fast and would like to start going longer and/or more often. I could use a reminder of things to look out for and be aware of.

When should I cut a fast short? When do things cross from the “push through” to the “you need to stop, something is up” point? Just generally, when do you know your body is done (like Carl’s mentioning he gets cold and knows it is time to stop)

General tips? I need to plan better–having the 18hr mark hit when I need to make dinner for my family SUCKS.

Also: is it possible or common that drinking salty water during a fast could upset your stomach?

Are you fat adapted yet, how long have you been eating keto? Extended fasts are harder if not fat adapted.

I know it is time to eat when I have some salt, some water, and I still feel like eating. Always listen to your body when fasting if you feel off or out of sorts, etc. Just eat, you can always fast tomorrow or whenever you are up for it.

I get lightheaded by around 4-5pm and have something small and then a larger meal around 7-8pm.

Very individual thing, I can drink REALLY REALLY SALTY stuff and have no issues, my husband would be vomiting after the first sip of something I can drink.

Thanks!! I started keto June 18–I am in week 11 keto and am 99% sure I am fat adapted! I sure feel like it!

My stomach can be so weird. And very inconsistent–triggers one day are nothing the next. Although, keto has helped that so far.

I def need to get some more electrolyte supplements. I can recognize that kind of headache now.
