Update: I think maybe I fat fasted today? This morning I got up and took my daughter to the mall. Got a chai tea with HWC and sugar free vanilla at Starbucks. Started to get hungry again around 2 but we were going out to dinner at 4:30 for a birthday so I had another tea with HWC.

Ate dinner around 4:30/5:00- chicken, guacamole, green bell peppers, sour cream, and cheese! Yum. Had 2 squares of 90% dark chocolate and a small amount of peanuts at 7:30 and sipping on another tea with HWC now.

I feel your pain but do not have answers-I’ve even on a stall for a year, after losing 40. My blood work being normal & being off meds keeps me going. I’m counting the carbs very carefully now- & measuring ketones-& im still stuck! Trying to keep calm & keyo on…

Have you checked for hidden food allergies? I stalled for almost 2 years and finally went and got allergy tests. I’m allergic to every single vegetable I ate in keto. Cauliflower, cabbage, tomatoes, all peppers, broccoli, kale, mustard, etc etc. Stopped the allergen foods, my asthma got better immediately and I dropped 11 pounds in 2 weeks. It was like starting fresh all over again. It’s a potential area to look into.

I totally understand the frustration. deeply.

Look at it as a puzzle to solve. calorie counting sucks…So, I’d look at potential food allergies and how much protein you are eating first if it were me.

I’m 4 foot 11 and I find that most protein recommendations are BS for my body. Calorie counting doesn’t work for me, as I feel satiated in a day eating about 800 calories and most things tell you that is bad…listen to your body first.

how minimal of protein can you eat to maintain muscle mass, test and see. What happens if you up it by 5 grams for a week, see where you start to lose fat again, or where you start to lose muscle mass. up protein until you don’t lose muscle mass…gravitate towards that number for a while. IT is a pain to have to experiment so much…but it can help.

how much fat do you eat now in a day…how much do you NEED to stay satiated in a day. maybe need more fat… If your eating high enough healthy fats for typical keto recommendations ratios that are meant to satiate you, and your still always hungry all the time…i’d guess food intolerance is a high possibility.

Absolutley Bfing is a factor to your metabolism right now. how much is she breastfeeding? Just at night? you are probably hungry all the time because your making milk. A lot of Bfing moms have a hard time losing weight in keto while breastfeeding.

I’m actually a little worried I’m allergic to my new pet rabbits :-/

I think i will see about allergy testing. The only problem is i have terrible insurance which only lets me go to the worst, most over crowded doctor’s office in the area.

Yeah, my daughter is two and she’s OBSESSED with breastfeeding still. She drinks when she gets home from school and throughout the night. It’s enough that i do get engorged if I’m away from her.

I am in Canada, so i had to wait for months for the referral appointment. public paid health care isn’t always better

But the actual testing happened that day and in 20 minutes I knew everything I was allergic to.

To cut back on appointments try to find out and make sure the doctor will do the allergy testing that day. I had 24 allergins put on each arm and my skin was lightly pricked to get the allergin under my skin, no worse than a mosquito bite…48 times. and then I waited 15 minutes.

He came back in the room and by looking at my flaming red arms he checked off a bunch of boxes on foods and environmental allergies and talked about doing the best to eliminate and or lower exposure to them all for 3 months and then if I needed allergy interventions for environmental ones we could go from there.

Wow, awesome. I didn’t realize they could do it that fast! I’ll have to call and see what they can do and how much it will cost me. Hopefully not much if they don’t have to send out any labs or anything!

I did my first on purpose intermittent fat fast today. All I’ve had today was butter & heavy whipping cream in chai tea.

Okay, there was a little sweetener, too!

I feel all right. Hunger comes and goes :wink: When I get home, I’m having a ribeye!
