What's your favorite meal, and why? I really want to know! šŸ™‚

Interesting combo. I’m not sure I’m brave enough to try it.

Does sound weird. I love sardines and eat them most weeks. I will have to try this.

No yard, so no need to worry about that happening!

If you’re the rump steaker, are the beats like sweeter than candy?

I love my chicken broccoli skillet. It is Keto friendly and I made the recipe myself. Chicken, broccoli, bacon bits and homemade cheese sauce. Cheese sauce is just heavy whipping cream, butter and shredded sharp cheddar simmered. Omg sooooo good.

#106

Looks good, too! :+1:

Always loved a good steak, but typically save it for special occasions at nice steak houses.

A sushi and sashimi platter is often my birthday dinner. I’m partial to Philly and spicy tuna rolls.

And I live in Chicago, so its easy to find a good stuffed or deep dish pizza. Double pepperoni.

As someone said here recently I am really loving beef more and more. Especially ground beef with the fat and ā€œstuffā€ in it. Just had some burgers that were cooked and frozen for lunch with cheese and jalapeno peppers and smoked salt. Gosh it was wonderful.

#109

Same here. I’m just trying to come up with more and more ā€œspecial occasionsā€.

Ooh, tell me more about this.

I’ll bet it was!

The thing that has surprised me, is how much I love fat on my beef! Used to cut every possible bit of it off. Now, the more fat, the bigger my grin gets.

And I forgot one … my mom’s lasagna. It’s the absolute best. I lived in NYC for 18 years and never had a lasagna that came anywhere close to it.

We buy a whole ribeye loin now at sams or Costco and cut our own steaks and vac seal. We try to have ribeye 1/week. We sear it, dip in Amish butter and grill med rare. I  the fat.

#112

I DID NOT KNOW YOU COULD DO THIS! :astonished:

Awesome! :+1:

The meat is pretty good and in VA. USA we pay about $9.95/lb. We put two steaks in a bag and seal it. Usually 1.75 lbs. That is for 3 of us. We used to have leftovers. Now two strict keto and one moving in that direction. No leftovers.

Steak is never as good the second day in my opinion. Best to enjoy is hot and fresh

(Eric - The patient needs to be patient!) #116

We like it sliced thin and fried up in butter and served with over easy fried eggs.

I love eating my sardines and tahini. I eat it almost everyday. (Before keto i would eat sardine and pb sandwiches). I usually eat it with an omelet or add hardboiled eggs to the sardines and tahini…i know…sounds weird but i love it.

(Bunny) #119

I use to do exactly the same thing and I thought I was the only one …lol

Skin of baked fish is my favorite, I crave it all the time!

(Eric - The patient needs to be patient!) #120

I love salmon skin when pan seared in butter

(hottie turned hag) #121

Lobster tail and/or crab legs if I had to pick an absolute no 1. Those’d be my first choice.
Authentic tacos, the kind you get from the obscure joints where you’re the only Anglo in the place.
