What's Your Favorite Broth/Stock/Boullion?

I’ve been using Knorr Chicken Boullion grandules and I like them but I’m running out so I’m thinking of trying something new. I’m totally open to suggestions. I also have the Better Than Boullion that I use for cooking but it does have carbs so not interested in drinking that.

I make my own in my pressure cooker. It is easy, economical, way healthier and delicious. I save chicken bones in the freezer and/or buy carcass and feet. I freeze what I won’t use over the next couple of weeks. I use silicone trays for freezing. I have various sizes so that tends to work out pretty well for whatever my uses are. Here is a pic of a jarred batch.

I really like Bare Bones Broth, but it is a little expensive.

I make my own in my instant pot. I was appalled when I read the ingredients found in bullion on store shelves. If there is any healthy bullion out there, I have not personally found it yet. I do, however at times, use Kirkland Brand Organic Chicken Stock. It has no yucky ingredients.

@clackley Love this idea! I don’t have an instant pot though. What pounds of pressure do you use and for how long? And do you use a different setting for say, beef bones?

@alanwil2 That looks good, just too bad I don’t have a store within 500 miles of me. :disappointed:

I’m not opposed to making my own but I was hoping for something that I could travel with. I guess that’s like a needle in a haystack.

I wish I could answer you about the pressure but with the I.P., I just select high pressure for 2 hours. It is that easy. I have not made beef broth with the I.P. mostly because I far prefer chicken broth.

I can only suggest a thermos for the broth. I have reduced broth in the past for various recipes but this could be good too for taking smaller amounts for a trip but of course, that would only work for shorter trips.

Costco Organic cartons. I buy them by the 6 pack. Affordable and saves me a ton of time and work.
