HWC, an amount of equal that would appall many forum members, and several shakes of cinnamon and nutmeg. I generally drink medium roast at the Bucks.
What to put in coffee in the morning
I think you’re asking how can you flavor your coffee and not break a fast… I see a lot of people who drink bone broths and such on fasts so I’ve taken from that that I can have a small amount of high fat calories, 20-40 mostly fat to avoid a an insulin spike. I put a splash, I mean just a splash, of heavy cream in and a few drops of vanilla extract. Occasionally I’ll do almond extract if I feel adventurous ;). If I’m not fasting I will dump like 3 tablespoons of heavy cream in my tea. Also I switched from black tea to matcha because it’s almost naturally creamy to begin with. I don’t know what type of coffee you get, but maybe switching to a Turkish or espresso type will help because it’s a much fuller body and often has a nice crema on top. Might give you more of a texture satisfaction over adding more stuff.
Two tbsp coffee booster(ghee butter, coconut oil, cacao powder pre mixed), hwc, and some pink salt. Usually holds me over till lunch. The key is to mix well so fat doesn’t sit on top
I can drink espresso straight up, but sometimes when I am not eating it upsets my stomach. I like it with HWC.
But I had the same dilemma as you, wanting to keep the fasting window clean. My solution is to drink green tea when I want to hold off eating. It’s soothing to the stomach, dulls your appetite and it’s really good and clean tasting first thing in the morning. I got the idea reading an article by Dr. Fung. It has some powerful antioxidants in it. And it aids in weight loss. I used to drink it a lot but it’s been years. I am really enjoying it.
Personally I put a shot of heavy whipping cream and some sea salt in my coffee. Everyone in my home thinks I’m nuts lol.
I brew my coffee with a shake of cloves, and shake of cinnamon, and a shake of salt. This week I’m doing dairy free so I purchased a coconut creamer with zero carbs. For sweetener i use Splenda zero, no dextrose in it. I’m not a coffee drinker. I only started drinking coffee slightly before my dad died. I was brewing coffee for him every day. It reminds me of him.
Start buying it again. I have a little every morning and it doesn’t affect my loss. And it makes the coffee tasty!
Wouldn’t work for me—my coffee cup is too small to hold the salt shaker, lol!
(If there isn’t a very-pleased-with-myself emoji, there certainly should be!)
I’m sayin’ it again! Do you like spice? If so, put some cayenne in your grounds.
I fresh grind (4 Tbsp beans 1 Tbsp cocoa nibs) and French press with 1 tsp cinnamon.
If I’m fasting I’ll add salt. Salted coffee is so delicious ~1/4 tsp to a mug.
Or just drink water.
I put salt in my water I take to work and when I told my coworker that she thought I was insane
Be careful with artificial sweeteners. I think of them as a gateway drug to your old addictions.
