This weeks Special stuff since it is the holidays and I wanted to try something:

  • Raw Cocao chips (For making chocolate)
  • Cocao butter (for making chocolate)

+1

Bought 5 or 6 packs of Kerrygold salted on sale at Costco, and slowly going through it for BPC. Salted Kerrygold + SF caramel syrup = salted caramel flavor. Same here on the added salt, too.

Whole chickens
Lamb liver

Keeping a Grocery List
(Jessica K) #44

Did a big Costco and Whole Foods run today… spent wayyyyy too much money :joy: some of the staples for today as both my fridge and pantry are essentially empty:

  • Frozen Riced Cauliflower
  • Baby spinach
  • Onions, shallots, and green onions
  • Spaghetti Squash
  • Avocado
  • So much cheese… shredded, block, cream, sliced, etc
  • HWC
  • Sour Cream
  • Fairlife milk
  • Cocoa Powder
  • Lots of nuts and seeds
  • Ground beef and various lunch meats
  • Bacon
  • Sausage

(softail925) #45

Yep, I was thinking, “where’s the dark choc?” And I personally have grown to apprec a square of 90% dark choc from time to time.

(Ross Daniel) #46

Salted is the best IMO. You can’t taste the salt in the BPC and it will work to “smooth” out any bitterness of the coffee.

(Ross Daniel) #47

Most of the lists have everything covered that I buy.

I would add:

  • Lilly’s chocolate bars that are sweetened with stevia are very good. Half a bar is 3 or 4g of net carbs depending on the flavor you buy.

  • Palmetto Pimento cheese from Costco is amazing, the jalapeno version is my favorite!

  • Blue Diamond almond milk. Unsweetened Original.

Amazon is where I get things like C8 MCT oil and collagen hydrolysate. Everything else I get at Costco.

(Texan ) #48

I found the unsalted and I prefer unsalted for my BPC, but I prefer salted for cooking. I don’t know what brands of coffee everyone else is drinking or how strong it is, I like a bold coffee and I don’t taste anything bitter about it.
I do appreciate your input though.

(Ross Daniel) #49

thanks! I’ve found that even if the coffee isn’t bitter to begin with, I still prefer the salted butter but then again I’m a salt fiend…

(Derek I. Batting) #50
  • Dymatize Nutrition Elite (Rich Chocolate) protein powder
  • Acacia Gum (Fiber)
  • Potassium Citrate
  • Salt
  • Cal/Mag/D3 powder
  • Calcium Phosphate
  • Choline L-Bitartrate
  • Xanthan Gum
  • MK-7 Vitamin K-2
  • Kirkland Signature Daily Multivitamin/Multiminer
  • Heavy Whipping Cream
  • MCT Oil
  • Kirkland “One per day” fish oil

Yep, really. I know this looks absurd, but it’s literally what I eat at least once a day, sometimes for all meals. I have been eating Keto Chow shakes (think Soylent for keto folks) for about a year and a half and have no intentions of stopping. Sure, I eat other “real food” like everyone else, but there’s always cold shakes in the fridge. As an IT guy, it suits the “slam it and get on with everything else” mode we often deal with.

(Chris Bair, who created Keto Chow and released this recipe as open source, also sells it pre-mixed and ready to go, but I didn’t want to paste a link that might break “no advertising” rules)
