What is happening?

I did a search but didn’t find a very confirmed answer. How late can keto flu happen? On Monday I hit 4 weeks of eating keto. I never had any flu symptoms until last night. I was in the bathroom 3 different times. Then today I had to leave work because I was starting to have an anxiety attack and I haven’t had one of those since November.

Is it possible to be having keto flu late? Are there any major shifts around week 4 that I don’t know about?

Honestly I don’t know that four weeks is “late” for carb withdrawal. It took me a good 2-3 weeks of strict no carbs to feel the symptoms.

Electrolytes definitetely help. For me, potassium and especially magnesium were what I was missing. (Obligatory tons of water too)

Also my lady hit a wall of hormones from week 3 till week 8… she was a mess, she got through it and felt much better

Maybe it’s also something you ate or didn’t eat differently?? I feel off certain days when that happens. Hang in there!

It is possible, as mentioned, that you had something that dropped you back down. I would keep a brief journal for a while listing what you ate and how you feel (good, bad and otherwise). Then if this happens with any regularity you should be able to spot the culprit - if that is the problem.

Could just be an off day or a 24hr bug etc.

Salt, salt, salt…Try drinking some pickle juice. Seems to help a lot.

This!! Anytime I start to feel the funk … which is rare now, I do salt. Potassium can be a very touchy thing. For myself, I don’t touch it. It can really mess with you. We do get a lot more potassium in the US than we think. It’s not required to be put on labels although I think that’s suppose to change.
