What do you think of Oprah's Food diary?

(Stephanie Hanson) #41

Love this.

(Louise ) #42

Don’t forget that she owns a part share of Weight Watchers…that’s the insane thing!

(Louise ) #43

Exactly…and it is her money as she owns Weight Watchers!

(Renay Cislo) #44

Yeah that’s going to work for so many people…because who doesn’t love measuring food down to the molecule…I would be absolutely starving within about an hour of breakfast

(Karen Parrott) #45

Wonder how her metabolic markers are doing and I’m especially wondering how she will do in long-term weight maintenance? I was in WW for about 12 years. It worked for me before I was pregnant but I was hungry all the time and still binge eating, if you call that working.

Now that I’m older and realize that I was grooming myself for diabetes when I was in weight watchers , I steer clear of the calories in calories out lowfat , high carb regime.

All those folks counting fruit is free or very low points. That kept me stuck for many years. Once I finally stopped eating fruit for weight loss and very little in long-term weight maintenance I stopped looking like a pre-type two diabetic.

Sigh!

So sad.

I used to like Oprah a lot, but she’s given a stage to some horrible people. I still have respect for what she’s done and overcome, but she’s just another person. She’s no saint or prophet.

I Shared the menu with my hubby an he was like melon balls? As a mid afternoon snack? Who’s got time for that?! ā€œI’m off to make my mid afternoon melon ball rationā€ā€¦ haha…yeah righto?!

(Kathy L) #49

YES-that’d be awesome!!!

(Kathy L) #50

YES-I’m DONE throwing good money after bad & spending $$ on diets!

(Karen Parrott) #51

Money can’t buy weight maintenance, meaning Oprah can’t throw money :moneybag: at stopping the yo-yo dieting. It will be interesting

(eat more) #52

but but she has a new book!! (ugh)

(Roxanne) #53

Sad…very sad…I get hungry just reading it.

#54

The only good thing about weight watchers is the cyclical stock price, with short term earnings potential

(Karen Parrott) #55

Today, you win the internets, and its only 9:43 pacific time… :joy:

(Stacie Kouskouris) #56

I feel sorry for the lemurs following her off the cliff.

(Stickin' with mammoth) #57

Kinda looks like the heart rate monitor readout of somebody who is seriously screwed up.

(Joel Abdul) #58

The govt is very proud of her. She’s doing exactly what is ā€œsuggestedā€. I guess I’ll be a rebel then.

#59

lemmings?

(Stacie Kouskouris) #60

Haha!! Yes! Lemmings! Can i blame autocorrect?
