What do u add to ur water?

(Lisa marie t) #1

So I’m adamant to get water in.I usually do 4 to 6…5 seems my good spot n not feel sick. I was using desani and crystal lite drops…then a friend said to be careful they might mess with weightloss. So I use real lemon juice.but the lemon juice makes my tum hurt after 4 litres
So what to do?

I like Stur liquid water enhancer. Uses natural ingredients. The lemon flavor is good.

At the Dollar Tree you can get a box of these little stick tubes filled with A&W Root Beer flavoring. They make a nice change. Usually I’m a lime juice-ACV-sweetner-salt guy.

At least 2 of the water’s I have each day have 1T ACV, 1tsp lemon juice & 1tsp lime juice in a pint of water (one of them before my meal - if I’m doing OMAD).
Days that I’m changing it up to keep my metabolism guessing and doing 3 meals, I do that before each meal.

My “treat” drink is a pint of Club Soda with 1tsp lemon and 1tsp lime. Not enough of anything to cause an insulin reaction.

Ice <3

Put some curls of citrus peel (lime, lemon, grapefruit, orange), over a little time, they add flavor without the acidity of the juice. Or you could try some drops of essential oils.

(Candy Lind) #7

What do those have in them?

Pink salt, potassium chloride, and Calm magnesium. Sometime carbonated. It’s a great tasting drink actually.

Ice.

I like to drink mineral water (what Dr. Eric Berg recommends) besides regular water at different points of intake! Hard to believe these videos but he must know what he’s talking about?

(Ken) #12

Typical artificial sweetners, about 5g of carbs.

Well, since you asked: each morning I mix up a 1/2 gallon jug of water with 1tsp electrolyte mix (salt, KCl, and magnesium glycinate), 4 sachets of True Lemon/True Lime, and a few drops of Lugol’s iodine solution. I drink this throughout the day.

Scotch

Four liters seems an awful lot. If you stop being thirsty, stop drinking. It means you don’t need any more. So many runners have gotten caught up in the hype from the sports drink manufacturers, that many of them have over-hydrated during races and collapsed. Several actually died as a result. Tim Noakes himself has gone from stressing the need to stay hydrated, to strongly advising, “Drink to thirst.”

(Ashley) #17

I can’t agree with this more! You have athletes who have died from over water consumption. I’ve seen people throw up from too much water! I drink if I’m thirsty, I naturally have been drinking slightly more than normal due to this change of eating but I never just drink water because I want a certain amount. Stay hydrated but don’t force yourself!

(Ashley) #18

Just make sure to explain that to people how often should be done! Don’t want people to put that in “each drink”! I’ve almost made that mistake lol!!

#19

Liar! That’s not a mistake anyone “almost” makes hahaha

(Ashley) #20

Lol, I beg to differ :stuck_out_tongue:
