What did you take a photo of on your walk today? (feat. CHUNK)

(Empress of the Unexpected) #1594

Yep. Waltzed in. I found the neighbor cat and my cat having an altercation in the hallway. BTW. That is the creepiest thing I have ever seen in my life. I won’t be able to un see it!

(Empress of the Unexpected) #1595

Hubby says they are in the mountains here but mind their own business.

(Little Miss Scare-All) #1596

   most importantly I hope neither were injured in the scuffle, but the imagery of finding this random and surprising brawl really funny.

And yes they are! They come out here in NJ around end of summer and fall. They always manage to find their way on the wall above my side of the bed.

(Empress of the Unexpected) #1597

I was quick on my feet and they got watered down. Now I’m going to need professional help, centipedes inside. But I guess they are harmless???

(Little Miss Scare-All) #1598

Omg @Regina you are literally making me tear, I’m a very visual person and this whole scene is so funny. You sprayed them down? That’s a good move but the imagery

The little jerks bite! Theyre not poisonous, at least the kind here, but if that went anywhere on my body, Id need to be watered down!

Not today, but the weekend. Went to the newly-opened Meydenbauer Bay Park in Bellevue and it was really nice.

This is looking out at the bay and Lake Washington. If you look at the bit of land that sticks out in the middle of the photo (Eastland), behind that is Medina where Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos live.

Also, the blue of the water is a bit exaggerated (thanks Lightroom), but it really was a lovely sunny day and at least the colours here are how I remember it in my head.

(Allie) #1600

This happens to me al the time :joy:
I open the window to let my Phoenix in or out and at least three other cats rush in.

(Running from stupidity) #1601

Who can say what colour is the true colour?

(Little Miss Scare-All) #1602

Crayola.

(Hyperbole- best thing in the universe!) #1603

Pantone.

(Edith) #1604

I’m lichen those pictures. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

(less is more, more or less) #1605

My wife.

(Little Miss Scare-All) #1606

Fair play

This was waiting for me when I got back this morning

I’d only been out for like, 5 mins.
He squeaked at me to sit down then spent about 15 mins doing this

Been out again this afternoon and had to go through the same process.
He’s not usually that affectionate, he’ll have a quick ear rub or tummy tickle if he’s in the mood, but rarely asks for fuss like this!

(Jane) #1608

We had a cat door in our house in Hotston but no way in hell would we EVER have one here. Too much wild wildlife round these parts.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #1609

Our cats demand affection as a lure to get your hand within striking distance. . . :crying_cat_face:

#1610

Screenack, FTW!

(Jane) #1611

I am married to an artist and I am an engineer so role reversal in play here. I have NOTHING to do with color selections other than Cesar powers of rejection.

He is free to pick whatever colors he wants unless I deem “nope”

(less is more, more or less) #1613

My wife and I both have BFA degrees. She, graphic design, me, illustration. She also has an amazing and bold sense of color matching, whether design or the house. I love color though design color palettes strike fear in my heart, to this day. I hate color names, though. It’s this bizarre verbal netherworld between marketing and the language of ordinary things.

Nowadays, I’ll turn to my wife and simply ask, “what do you call that color?” Her answer is always good enough for me.
