What did you take a photo of on your walk today? (feat. CHUNK)

#906

These are from Monday, the 21st. Nine of us hiked out to Battleship Mountain in the Superstitions. Four of us, myself included, summitted.

This is what Battleship Mountain looks like from a distance - it’s the blocky looking mountain left of Weaver’s Needle - I took this photo in March of 2018:

Beautiful, Kevine. Rich and sere at the same time.

(Karen) #908

Gorgeous! Much of the west is geologically young

(Sophie) #909

This thread just sucked up all my friggin likes! :confounded:

(Empress of the Unexpected) #910

I just saw this  - gorgeous picture.

(Cailyn Mc Cauley) #911

Made the rounds in my garden today—1st time in 2 months!

(Jane) #912

Not today. But last spring. A young deer walking close to the house (propane tank in foreground).

They have no fear of us now since we only shoot them with a camera. Occasionally one of them chuffs at us but they never run off. Just go back to grazing on my plants and flowers lol

I guess this is from a real pig…

Cold walk this evening

@juice We’re you expecting fake pig nipples?

(Running from stupidity) #915

I wasn’t expecting ANY kind of pig nipples!

Bought pig skin a few times now and this was the first time I’d run across them.

Ok cute pet photos coming up…

The last one is on my back deck and it is a 20-Ft drop to the ground off that rail. Makes me so nervous when she sits up there so casually.

(Running from stupidity) #917

Ah, cats always land on their feet.

(The amazing autoimmune 🦄) #918

I love pet photos. They all look so sweet.

Welcome to Australia.

The first one is my DIL’s dog and my grandsons playing trains in the background. I would take her in a heartbeat!!!

My DIL found her chained up outside in 95+ south Texas heat and 90% humidity with no food or water and full of fleas. She tracked down the owners and they didn’t want her so my DIL took her. She is the SWEETEST and most LOYAL dog I’ve ever known. When she greets me she smiles and wags her whole backend - not just her tail.

Her eyes are so full of love my heart melts when I see her. She has a loving home now and hit the doggy jackpot and deserves it!

:rofl:They say that pets resemble their owner, or is it vice versa. Any family resemblance or maybe he is just Anti-social like his owner :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::joy:

(Running from stupidity) #922

C) All of the above

(Jane) #923

The gray cat is Fat Max. He is a big boy. They all eat out of the same food bowl and 2 are trim and he is fat. But he is old and earned it.

I could feed the orange Viking girls up on a ledge he couldn’t jump on and put him on a diet… but he has had a good, pampered life and is getting up there in years (12? not sure) so I just feed them all the same and let nature take its course

(Running from stupidity) #924

Clearly he stops them eating most of the calories, and then they run around a lot more than he does.

#925

I was going to say  He is lovely though & some cats are just heavier than others :heart_eyes_cat:
