I was about to say, “You posted to the wrong thread.”

Then it occurred to me, it would be harder to avoided food you could eat, for the sake of fasting, then foods you shouldn’t eat.

I saw Fanrastic Beasts - The Crimes of Grindelwald in the theater yesterday and did not eat any :popcorn:. I did get a little annoyed at all the crunching going on around me. I guess you don’t notice it when you’re crunching it yourself!


The Chicken Gizzards that have been slow cooking all day long! … Somehow ended up with Salmon, with all the fixings. Which was quite good BTW, but now those poor Gizzards will have to wait another whole day. :smile:

Yes, my boyfriend is not allowed to eat popcorn while we watch movies. It’s supposed to be a relaxing time, not an annoying time!

I did not quit keto even though i felt serious blahs. I did not eat freshly buttered popcorn sitting in front of me at work. I did not eat M&Ms handed to me. I did not drink hot chocolate woth my co-workers… I DID NOT!!! Not not not not not!!

Phew… made it through that work day

Walked in to my Arabic school in the weekends to see balloons everywhere. Dread seized me as I realised that it was a party. I barely ate that morning and just had a homemade granola and almond milk as I was in a huge rush. We did some work and then the room began to smell a lovely chocolate scented smell and my best friend came rushing to me excitedly saying that I will love the cake she made. With a heavy heart, I mournfully told her that I wouldn’t be able to taste it as it will kick me out of ketosis and I only hope she forgives me. Sitting in the room was torment, watching the slices of chocolate cake being passed around. The smell was almost suffocating me and then the crisps were passed around. I just sat awkwardly trying not to think of the delicious crunch and flavours bursting in your mouth. Finally, sweets and lollipops were passed and a girl pushed some of my favourite chews into my hand. They almost taunted me but I held strong. I was starving at this point and I wished I packed a keto peanut butter cookie with me, but alas, it was forgotten in the morning rush. But I was rewarded as when my best friend’s mother arrived, she noticed that I lost weight and got me to send her as many keto recipes as possible, (she didn’t see me for a while-before I lost 10kg during a juice challenge) but my rewards didn’t stop there. When my mum picked me up, I was rather upset to see a bag of takeaway as I thought I suffered enough. But I was gifted with a delicious grilled chicken salad which I devoured half of in the car and the rest on a flaxseed wrap at home. I don’t regret not eating any party food. This day changed my views, strength isn’t muscles, strength is refusing your best friend’s chocolate cake that you know has the most delightful flavour. It’s been a busy day, but I’m still going strong

Oh man, I felt like I was reading a novel! I’ve always encouraged others to take a picture of the food that was tempting them, but you painted a picture in my mind, full of emotion.

Also, I’d have “wandered off” rather than sit there. (I can wander in a seemingly unaware manner while getting to where I want to go fairly directly.) But, admittedly, that’s more because of the crowds than the food :slight_smile:


Bacon…Today my housemate was hungover but stayed on the couch all day with grumpy face and heavy sighs at my kitchen sounds and a headache so I didn’t cook the bacon waiting for me in the fridge. Tomorrow morning I’m eating the entire package and them I’m going to the store for more. He’s such a butt head.
