You can buy all sorts of random crap at Aussie post offices Theyâre like ALDI but with stamps!
What did you learn today?
No thereâs things called sweans, pyjama jeans or ezyjeans which are all soft sweat pants that look almost identical to denim jeans.
(donât think you can buy them at the post office though)
All you can get at US post offices is a whole lot of attitude.
@ChrisW, holy cow. My world just opened up and I must google all of these things!
Turtlenécklava, for eating baklava in, I assume.
I learned from @PaulL that chickens donât need roosters to lay eggs - they can do it on their own but the eggs will be infertile. I thought he was pulling our collective leg⊠(Stop laughing, everyone, Iâm a city girl.)
I donât need a man to lay an egg. Itâs the same thing. Theirs are just on the outside.
Hey, here is another cool thing I learned today.
For the first time in 12 years, my garden is covered in these. (We have had more rain!) During the winds they kept the dust from blowing all over. I figured they were some type of weed, and was going to pull them, but today I noticed several were flowering. As the article points out, they are edible (I donât think Chronometer has a carb count for Henbit) and attract my hummers. They are staying.
I have something that looks similar that grows in my yard. Iâm not sure but I think itâs the same thing but we are getting so much rain, then freezing temps, then rain so I donât think anything is going to come up for a while. Although, Fake Spring did trick the trees in to budding.
It was weird - one entire large area being populated with henbit. For the first time ever. And, I got two or three wild nettle last year, now the area is covered. All these weeds are great for butterflies and hummingbirds. Also wild mallow. What will the neighbors think?
