What did you learn today?

(John) #1005

I have quit caffeine in the past so I know it can be done, but I would sure hate to have to quit coffee. I like strong black coffee, regular and decaf, and it is one of my last remaining pleasure “foods.” For those times when I have a psychological craving to treat myself, going to a coffee shop or making a fresh cup at home usually satisfies that without any food intake.

If I ever get into a prolonged stall I may give it a shot but that’ll be one of my last resorts.

I learned today that when I have the urge to try and be helpful, I need to shut my mouth and keep right out of it.

(Running from stupidity) #1007

I feel like that most days on here

#1008

Out of likes again :slightly_smiling_face:

Me three!!!

I used to live in Buffalo, right across the river from Toronto. Does that count?:grin::grin:

P.S.—The Canadian falls are definitely prettier.

(Running from stupidity) #1011

Orders of magnitude better.

(Doug) #1012

I worked out of an office in southern Ontario, in Burlington, right off th Q.E.W. at the Appleby Line exit.

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #1014

I know exactly where this is! When I first moved to Canada I lived with my aunty at Amherst Heights off of Brant Street. I have a lot of friends in Burlington still :grin:

(Doug) #1015

 Ha - it’s definitely a small world.

(Empress of the Unexpected) #1016

I learned I am ready for summer! We need the rain and all but I miss the sun.

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #1017

It really is!!
I do miss it there, but I wouldn’t last 5 minutes in ketosis there with all the Tim Horton’s around!

#1018

Yesterday I learned what I’m going to miss about winter.

Not having allergies.

(Empress of the Unexpected) #1019

Spring, fall, anyone?

(KCKO, KCFO 🥥) #1020

I learned that meat camps are a thing. Who knew?

(Running from stupidity) #1021

Is this your new exercise routine?

(Empress of the Unexpected) #1022

:rofl::rofl::rofl::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

(Heather Meyer) #1023

Ditto! The procrastination really does take more effort. It takes me like 2 hours up to half a day to convince myself going for my gym workout will be worth the feeling of “aaaaahhhhh” that follows the intensity and burning muscles.

(Heather Meyer) #1024

Hah! Im stuck in Winter here. We just had our first snowfall of the season! I fear Spring might be sleeping in late this year.

Much like I wish I knew about Keto by the time I hit high school (or at least that Atkins’s reputation wasn’t dragged through the mud then), I wish I had been able to hear something like this when I was a teen. Would’ve saved me another long decade of confusion. Not to mention doing damage to my body once I hit puberty. Would’ve been nice if I’d known then what I know now.
