TIL… Some co-workers can be very mean and some people stuff their emotions so far down that when they explode…it comes out their back end! True story Thank God i wasnt the one exploding…too bad i got caught in the line of fire…
What did you learn today?
Something else we have in common is ADHD. Mine is partly visual and partly audio. People telling me phone numbers or addresses quickly becomes a blur. Voice Mail is especially bad. And now I’m starting to loss my hearing, I just give up on VM most days.
I’ve got a small tad of OCD as well. Just enough to keep me from burning the house down.
Oh Regina. Yesterday I went to Best Buy for a new computer. The first one I looked at was a cheap Lenovo Ideapad my son has and this sales guy speed walks over and tells me I don’t want that computer. I said we already have one and it works fine. He got up in my face and said, well did you buy it before April 2018 and I said yes and he got really excited and said it only has 4 Gb and it takes 3Gb just to turn it on and it’s pretty much useless.
I am not even an excitable person but I looked at him and loudly said, You’re telling me every single 4 Gb laptop in this place is useless and shouldn’t be sold? Yes! he said.
Thankfully an electronic alarm went off and he scurried away and I ended up with a soft spoken, long haired young guy who was super kind and explained why his coworker was acting like a crack head, and the tech. I’m still feeling the love toward him today.
That is so me on lots of web pages. And I don’t even have any ADHD issues.
My ADHD is so selective. I won’t read a wall of text, but l frequently need to have subtitles on when watching television shows so I can process what’s being said. And I can’t listen to podcasts because I need to see a visual or text to process it, even tho I have no issues with music.
No, no, NO—too many calories!
DUH yourself.

You just realised you have a weird sense of humour?? (P.s. notice the correct spelling? )
I have a splint on it until they pull stitches on the 14th. Then I wear another splint for about a month and a half but much smaller because the plate will hold things together. And then probably a brace. I should be out of this by end of February or mid March. Not hurting much today. Thanks for asking.
Where was the break? I mean, where in your radius?
I’m starting to think stevia is the cilantro of sweeteners - you either have the gene to tolerate it or you don’t. I keep hearing people say how bitter stevia is but I’ve never experienced this taste, it just sounds like we’re consuming two different products. I know now how my friends feel when I tell them I can’t tolerate cilantro.
So wait, you don’t like cilantro and do like Stevia?
I love cilantro and can’t tolerate Stevia.
Very interesting observation!
Some people have a gene that makes cilantro taste like soap because of how the cilantro smells to them: olfactory-receptor genes, called OR6A2
I have the gene but it is not expressed in my system so I love Cilantro. I hope, no I pray, that the OR6A2 never turns on.
Recently learned 2 things.
Just because the clothes fit your body it doesn’t mean you should wear them.
Also…
Clothing sizes mean nothing to me now…except maybe a reference point.
I have new pants at each size between 8 and 14.
Women’s pant sizes are kind of like the Tangerine Usurper - inconsistent, demographic-pandering, lack of making sense, centered around egotized branding above all else, only there to make you feel bad about yourself, and have tiny pockets.
Oh, and sexist.
