What Did You Keto Today? Part IV
Played around with an idea this morning for the Wife. - Strawberry infused Cream Cheese spread on a Sweetened Chocolate Chaffle topped with chunks of fresh Strawberries. … Her and my Son liked it, but she did ask for a little more sweetener in the spread and a bit more Cocoa in the Chaffle next time.
Few hours later she made some lunch…
Chicken, salad and left over cauliflower and mayo for dinner
My fave for pud…I got a new double cream from the farm shop and I love it!
Finished a 48 hour fast with big Omad feast of steak covered in spicy muffuletta mix, portobellos with brie and jalepenos and then some leftover ribs. Hit a new low weight this morning, 108 lbs lost.
@Shinita That looks really good honey. I used to put radish on bread as a kid. Or carrot, I think i may have tried onion once too. Your food looks pretty. Mine looked awful, yet tasted ok.But I think I’m done with mince for a while now. I ate it everyday for two weeks when I started. At least I got some proper iron into me. I certainly needed it.
@Shinita It’s funny cos when I was a kid, like literally once or twice a year, mum would take us to Macdonalds and I HATED it. I used to sit in the car. Bloody pizza, that’s a weakness for me. I’m a weirdo though. I use to like to microwave mine until it was rock hard, or chewy. The more pineapple the better.
You, dear, are a savage… Hard, chewy pizza and pineapple…
I put (red) radish on buttered bread. Bell pepper is fine too. Bread with lard requires onions, usually purple ones for everyone but I can’t eat the normal one raw anyway so it must be purple (or white but that’s rare and more expensive and the purple is more interesting. all my scallions are purple this year, the one behind the the eggy-seitan-thing too).
Wednesday & yesterday I baked 3 pounds of bacon & made a big bag of Chaffles. Today I baked the other 3 pounds of bacon, and when it was done, I turned the oven down to 225F, wrapped three HUGE chicken thighs in the foil from one of the bacon pans, & cooked them for just over 3 hours. When I poked one to check it, it fell apart. I pulled the skin off, heated some bacon nectar in a frying pan, and fried the skins up nice & crispy. YUM! Chicka-chicharrones!
That’s what Is perched atop the soon-to-be-salad thigh meat.
@Shinita I used to go to the movies by myself with a plastic cup filled with mussels, blue cheese and vinigar with a lot of salt. Hey, it worked…Nobody wanted to sit near me. I could clear the aisles.. I like onion, mainly purple dipped in salt and vinigar. I’m a sucker for sour things.
Congratsss @KetoDad2020 --well done =) and your meal looks very delicious too =).
@velvet I’ve never had chaffles or liverwurst. Hey, is your dog a Great Dane?? I LOVE Great Danes. My favorite breed. So adorable.. I know your message wasn’t to me, I just wanted to ask about your dog.
Yes, she is. She is a great dog, and I love Great Danes and German Shepherds. Have had them all my life.
@velvet AWWWWW. She is gorgeous!!! Such big gorgeous dogs. I’m 5ft1 so it would be funny to have one and take it for a walk. I walked a Rottweiler once. It weighed more than me and literally dragged me. . I would love to get a Great Dane one-day. I did have a Dingo cross ridgeback. I called her " Lady Gaga, but Gaga for short". I’ll show you. Oh I know this thread is not about dogs but I’ll only do it once.
