OMG! It has arrived:

2.2 pounds/ 1 kilo of pure delight! $ 20.00 at Amazon, second time I bought this.

First slice set out to finish ripening.

Went non-traditional for brekky today - a Chaffle “pizza” usings Rao’s sensitive sauce, sliced low-carb chicken meatballs, mushrooms, & mozz. Then I have to call a service dude to check out my dishwasher … started making an awful noise last night.

Whoopsie Daisies! Forgot the pic …

Corned beef brisket is the gift that keeps on giving! And, so are my 2 geriatric hens. Yesterday, the old folks’ hen house revealed 3 nice fresh eggs… This morning…Ta Da!

This, my friends, is one of the many reasons we stick to raising chickens, turkeys, and grass fed beef cattle. =)

Another day, another room spring cleaned! :innocent:
Inbetween cups of tea in the garden!

Hungry work! This chicken Madras with a dollop of yogurt was lovely :yum:
My lips are still tingling!

The dog looks lazy/relaxed too  I soooooo love these photos, the multiple dishes, the dog, everything.

Oh yes, there are such days. Lazy isn’t the best word for me now, I woke up at 4:30am and it’s super bad for me. I went back to sleep but I am a sleepy zombie all day, even brain wouldn’t cheer me up! :brain:

I got out 2 something from the freezer for my SO, boiled some carbs as a side dish (made it into some dessert but I could make simple desserts in my sleep, that’s not work), fried some eggs for myself and ate it with some leftover from yesterday…

Dinner was more serious but still not much work. Pizza for my SO (I tasted it. what if it’s normal bread dough, I couldn’t care less), I put canned mackerel on it… My SO grated the cheese…
And I made pancakes and put the dessert into them (yeah, grains again. if I had a bit more meat, I would do carnivore. so it’s IIFYM keto. not like I have any idea about my carb intake today but it can’t be very much)… If I made the mentioned dessert in my sleep, that would be pancake. I make pancakes very nearly every day in the last few weeks.

The filling is hidden so you can imagine it has no millet and sour cherries and blueberries… It has little carbs anyway, I swapped some millet with the dairy that is in the original dessert… It’s weird when I use some vegan dish that imitates something heavily animal product based dish and well, the original suits my diet much more but the vegan dish is way more tempting… After I added my eggs, of course so my version is vegetarian, actually. Few plant-based dishes survive in my kitchen especially if I am the target. They are marching towards carnivore as time passes and if it’s possible. Seitan stays seitan, it’s an anomaly as eggs don’t make it better :scream:

I shouldn’t write today, barely any filter on my brain. I just wanted to put this here (filled, rolled up thin pancakes as Hungarian pancakes are):

We can fill them with whatever. Once I want to make the famous meaty one, that must be good and filling. Egg and meat, always works for me, even with not tasty meat but with some tasty one, that must be great.

The first, smaller pancake is filled with very good quality cocoa powder. Still not carnivore but it’s not one of my (almost) carnivore day (obviously), it’s supposed to be tomorrow and it was yesterday. But they are simple and my hands are full with making okay photos about my flowers now, they are easier anyway.

One of my neighbors bought old hens from factories(? I guess so). They kept laying eggs nicely and had a very very nice open place with trees and very fetching roosters! Before they got their garden, they roamed free everywhere so the very numerous foxes ate some. I probably wrote about this somewhere else in this forum. Once I brought them all the caterpillars I could catch, they attacked my flowers in masses and the hens loved them. I bought my eggs from that place for a while.

My mints are in a flower box. I have lots of flower boxes in the garden and two are at a place where I pretty much forget them. It’s perfect for mint as it’s obviously pretty resilient  And it’s nice in lemonade. Many of my green stuff is just there, I barely use them or not at all. At least I like looking at onion flowers… I have some small onions in flower boxes which aren’t normal onions so I just keep them to look at. (I don’t really “keep” them for something, they are just there and it would be much work to get them out and I have enough flower boxes for my smaller flowers. I got them with the house and they stayed.)
I never saw mints outside of my flower boxes… It would be fun to put them somewhere else… Most of my garden has grass and I don’t like grass, they can’t stay small and cute.
My sorrel already jumped away from its original place, it’s good as my raspberries and violet attacked them. They prettily coexist right now but the violets are violent, I need to step in sometimes, they are still almost everywhere… I am bad with discipline, I like freedom. But we have a lot of plants trying to go simply everywhere… I feel blessed it they aren’t thorny at the same time as half of my plants…

Pork belly roasted in the slow cooker all day, served with asparagus (in honour today of the start of the official season, St George’s Day!) and buttery shredded leek/Savoy cabbage combo. Heaven!

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #769

Chipolatas, bacon, fried egg and buttery spinach for dinner

Whipped cream and chocolate for pud

Beautiful colors! Even if I barely touch vegetables, I can appreciate them  My SO decided he wants asparagus now, I think we didn’t eat any since a decade at least… (I ate it about 2 times in my whole life…? Better than rhubarb, zero times. It doesn’t even look edible to me…)

Well, I finally reached out to my Seafood guy night before last to see if he was open for business, and he was. :+1: So I ordered some more Crabs. (I was actually out of both) So the Wife just spun by there while I was in work meetings and picked up my order. A case of Snow Crab and a case of Dungeness.

Snow Crab…

Dungeness…

Dinner… Snow Crab Legs, with some Shrimp and Steak

#776

Sausage topped with bacon and a dab of brie, half a green pepper and a sprig of Bok Choy. I never tried roasting Bok Choy before, but it tasted great.
