What can you use as a deep fying batter?

Hi Fellow keto’ers!

I was just wondering if there is something keto to replace batters with for deep frying? My understanding is that the batter or breading is used to keep the moisture in from the food that you are frying and it creates a crispy outer layer, but I can only find starchy batters. What can you replace this with?

Thanks!

Here are some that might work for frying:

The Best Flours to Use on a Keto Diet:

  • Coconut Flour is very high in fiber and low in carbohydrates so it is perfect to use in baked goods such as breads and desserts.
  • Almond Flour is high in fat, low in carbs, and moderate in protein.
  • Psyllium Husk Flour is a flour that I had never used before I started to follow a ketogenic diet. …More
