What are your mixes/condiments/dips/anythings for TALLOW?

I am in my first couple of weeks on keto, ever. Of course I know I can cook with tallow. Does the use get any wider? Your lists, please.

Here’s Mine, And I Hope The List Gets Bigger:

  1. Tallow Shiiratake Spaghetti Sauce :
    2 ounces of Tallow
    1 medium Onion, diced
    6 cloves of Garlic, crushed
    1 tablespoon of Marjoram, dried
    1 teaspoon of Salt
    3 pounds of Ground Beef
    24 ounces of Tomato Puree
    1 teaspoon of Pepper
    2 tablespoons of Basil, chopped
    2 tablespoons of Oregano, chopped
    1 tablespoon of Parsley, chopped

  2. Tallow dessert :
    1/2 cup beef tallow
10 ounces bittersweet chocolate (60-70% cocoa)
1/3 cup cinnamon cream rum liqueur
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    4 eggs
    1/2 cup keto sweetener
    Bourbon-Salted Caramel Sauce:
    1 cup keto sweetener
    1 cup heavy cream
    3 tablespoons bourbon
1 teaspoon sea salt, additional for garnish

  3. Um, gravy?
3 tablespoons butter (optional, see notes above)
4 cups beef broth (or beef drippings, or combination of both)
    3 teaspoons onion powder
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    4 tablespoons cornstarch
    1/3 cup water
    beef bouillon to taste
    ground black pepper to taste

  4. Tallow BPC

  5. Onion, Steak Sauce, Salt + Steak

  6. Lettuce, Garlic, S+P, Aminos, Mirin + Shiiratake Rice

  7. Garlic, Onion, Tomato, Basil Sauce

If to consume 1/2 cup of tallow you need 1 1/2 cups of sugar, why bother? I’m just curious.

Don’t eat sugar

But it’s listed in the tallow dessert recipe?

I find tallow with some salt with a steak on top is quite nice.

That’s funny. I didnt read that – for all my recipes I use keto options – have done fore years. I’m so sorry about that!

So, there was no need to snap.

When I first started keto, I had fun making keto desserts. It was a challenge I enjoyed, because I had really enjoyed baking before I started keto. Baking keto versions provided me with a substitute.

Fortunately, I wasn’t really a fan because I found fault with the taste of pretty much every alternative sweetener I tried. So, I stopped with the keto desserts.

I think finding low carb alternatives to the things we enjoyed on SAD is part of the evolution. Eventually, you will find you won’t want them any more.
