Well that just happened and it’s a little weird

Did my normal 16-8 IF today and had a late lunch… around 1200 kcal.

Dinner rolls around and I am hungry- I am also trying NOT to be too calorie light as I don’t want my body in starvation mode buuuut according to MFP I am already at 30g of Carbs (I am convinced MFP lies about as much as the scales but ya gotta have SOME estimate or base line).

So what to do?

I picked up a large spoon and scooped up a large portion of butter and ate that… and it was not pleasant. It was salty and well, buttery and felt a bit gross. I then lost my appetite for doing that a 2nd time and took a half spoon of sour cream that was left… strange but I am used to eating with other things so that was ok, then finished off with a few spoons of coconut oil.

I want to avoid doing that again if I can.

If I need more fat, I like adding macadamia nuts or olives. Or cream cheese (I find this more palatable than butter by itself) or cream cheese on pork rinds. Or I might shoot a tablespoon of MCT oil (though I had to build up to that, it can have quite a laxative effect).

Hardcore, effective and better you than me lol. I would have made a couple eggs with butter and beacon. But dam that’s was cool. Need to do a selfie for the facial expression next time.

Try butter with cheese
Makes the cheese very rich

I promise it gets better with time :star_struck:. I also like to wrap my butter with some sliced meat like salami, ham or something the like.
Another way is to throw it in a BPC or tea (I like to trow in a tsp of almondbutter helps it mix)

I melt 2 T of butter add lemon juice an eat it with a spoon. Reminds me of, asparagus or lobster, or artichokes, or whatever else I have with lemony butter. Weird I know.

I believe it was 28 grams net carbs.
