Hi Shinita. Yes pork belly is a tad expensive, but my SO and I both love it so we figure at the weekend, as a treat to share between us, there were only five in the pack, so we had two and a half each, why not? Tomorrow pork chops, they’re not my favourite because there’s a good bit of lean meat on them, the fat on them is the tasty bit. And I think I’ll cook us egg and bacon for breakfast. Fritters for my oldest boy, my youngest only wants fruit and toast. I find the more fat there is on a piece of meat the less I eat of it, as fat really brings me satiety. And it’s perhaps because it’s so good, I eat less of it, and feel satisfied, it was the same with desserts back when I ate them. I don’t pay attention to macros or ratios, but I eat pretty much the same every week. Eggs I tend to go on and off though, but I have them at least a few days a week. My SO never tires of eggs and can eat them every single day, I’m like that with meat, and cream.
Weekend Treat
Lucky. It makes perfect sense but my body has its unique logic. I had multiple days when I ate 1000g pork shoulder so it doesn’t work for me. I never ate that much meat using anything else…
Really fatty meats (I mean, mostly fat ones) do as fat satiates me well if I eat very little protein with it. Pork shoulder is too protein rich and nice for it so I just eat too much of it. Unless I am careful.
If it’s so good, I overeat it easier Though I understand the logic, smaller amount brings nice satisfaction…
Desserts, yep, I prefer rich ones and I need less of them, that works.
I simply need my eggs every day. Sometimes only 3-6, sometimes 10-12… They add up very quickly and they aren’t particularly satiating so maybe I should keep them at the minimum… But they are just too good. And I can’t eat mostly meat.
