Week 2, small NSV?

My desire for a glass of wine (or 2) in the evening has entirely disappeared! Really unexpected. So there goes some nutritionally useless carbs that I had expected to miss. I’m not getting hungry but I get really (REALLY) cranky in the early afternoon so I’m working to eat something good before my mood gets bad. I made an eating error yesterday, getting more carbs from something than I planned. I altered my dinner plans and kept carbs to 22 for the day.
‘Keto flu’ is abating and I’m feeling pretty good. This is really helping my frustration at finding my pants tighter than ever. I’m staying off the scale. I’m a bit bummed I haven’t lost my ‘easy water weight’ or, failing that, felt my clothes get looser but I’m sticking to it.
BIG shout out to everyone who helped me earlier, you guys are the best.

I’m using MFP for macros and not tracking calories. My goal is 20 net carbs or less and a ratio of 5/25/70. I’m hitting the carbs pretty close though often a bit higher on protein. I suffered mightily at first, but coconut oil, less cheese and fewer nuts seemed to solve that.

Thanks! I’m enjoying not feeling deprived. And I’m going to try and be very patient about the weight.

It is truly a joy to see new friends embark on a journey that will change their life for the better. Helping and encouraging them is rewarded when we see them on their way.

Be patient LIsa… good things are just down the road.

Lisa. Start reading up on the IF and EF forms of fasting. And when you think you are ready, try it out. Fasting is a proven stall buster.

I’m really interested in trying this! I’ve decided to wait until I’ve been eating LCHF for longer and am more adapted because I have a long history of traditional diets and disordered eating. I’m trying to play nice with my metabolism. I’m already enjoying more energy and feeling full very quickly. Give me a couple months and I’m down with giving it a go!
