Waking up foggy

A handful of times in my 13 days of doing keto I have woken up at around 2am to go to the bathroom and when I do I’m confused and foggy. I chug some water and go back to sleep and around 6 I’ll wake up foggy, groggy with a little depressed feeling.

This morning I tried my newly made ketoaide. Wow. Fixed it immediately.

My question is: should I be drinking this before bed? I feel like my meals are salty and I was taking a mg and k supplement in the mornings with breakfast. But this seems like dehydration electrolytes issue.

It would help to sip on ketoaide throughout the day in early ketosis. Your body is going through a lot of changes with electrolyte balance.

So do long term folks still do this? Or is ketoaide and boullion for us newbies?

I was under the impression you have to add salts back forever if you stick with this.

I still add some pink salt to my water and increase salts if I’m fasting. You need to be really conscious of it at first, or if exercising a lot, and you’re feeling tired. After a while, you just kind of get used to using more salt.

Thanks. That’s might be my problem. I do 7 day a week exercise. Swimming, step machine, mild weights. I’m usually soaking wet with sweat after each so I might be losing much more salts than the avg.
