She died well over a decade ago, but she was a weird cat. Not as weird as our current one, but still, way out there. I miss her way more than I miss some of the others that have passed through our lives.

I feel like a while ago I noticed a correlation between posts with this disordered chaotic writing style and threads going off the rails with the OP getting angry with everyone, so since then for better or worse I have been hesitant to chime in with support or advice on those threads even in the early stages. They don’t all turn out that way, of course. And it seemed there were many others like yourself already making a valiant effort.

I am not surprised, nor do I feel hurt, by this. I, too, am glad that you have a loving family. I wish you the very best, as I would with anyone who is dealing with health issues of any kind or even just trying to improve their lives. But it takes trust in the intentions of others to productively seek advice. You don’t trust this community and that’s okay, I hope you do have people in your life that you trust and can give you guidance. I do, however, feel bad for the members of this community who put in time writing out their thoughts with the best of intentions only to have to take the brunt of the emotions that you are feeling.

That was Buddy our faithful golden. We said goodbye to him in June after 13 wonderful years. He was the best.

Sorry for your loss, Frank. Dogs like that leave a HUGE hole behind when they’re no longer here. They’re one of the family. My brother n sister-in-law’s died maybe 4 years ago and it’s still not the same walking into their front door and not getting that golden welcome anymore.

Don’t know what you may or may not believe but I hope that heaven has a place for ones like our Goldens and maybe… someday…
