Guess which one won?

Not a large study, less than 100 people, and I think they tried to do too much. But at least the low carb diet did better than the DASH diet for blood pressure and weight loss after 4 months.

Great! I have told my mom the study result of this, hope she can change her mind. I believe more studies on low carb diet will be coming in future tens of years, it has to take tens of years to beat down the classical theories.

And yet, for some weird reason, the DASH diet always comes first in the US News ratings of diets, and keto, Atkins, Paleo, Whole30 come last.

Guess it’s not about biomarkers or fat loss or inflammation or subjective experience of well-being … it’s all about the arterycloggingsaturatedfat and the hearthealthywholegrains :laughing::laughing:. Nobody at the USDA or AHA want to admit that they were ever wrong.

And, as Tom Naughton used to say in the Fat Head movie … followthemoney!

Yeah, the fat is going to kill us, and the diet is unsustainable anyway. (So I guess the question is whether we give up on keto before or after it kills us, lol!)
