Actually, I liked what Gary had to say. I didn’t feel like he was bashing anyone, vegetarian or otherwise. It felt like an honest look at what fruit consumption might have been like before maybe 150 years ago, basically local and seasonal… and not bred to the point where everything was syrupy sweet.
It seems like the problem really came when the fruit was taken out of it’s rightful place in the human diet and manipulated and transported over long distances, made available any time a person wanted anything, sprayed / gassed / doused with whatever it needed to make it look good and taste good enough for people to actually buy it.
