Hi, I just started Keto today. I used all my protein calories by lunch . Now I have 11 g of carbs and 84 g of fat left for dinner - what can I eat?
Used all my Protein calories by lunch - what to do for dinner
Here some ideas
You could have a giant salad with lots of ranch dressing or olive oil
dip like a whole stalk of celery into ranch or mayo or home made dressing
cauliflower or broccoli in butter or fatty cheese
drink a cup of heavy cream
or make a milk shake with heavy cream,oil,butter,mct,stevia
drink like a bunch of bp coffee or tea
Let me know what ya made (;
Ended up eating a big salad with goat cheese and olive oil, one egg and butter. Still little short on fat grams - but I feel full. Will try and spread the protein better tomorrow
If you eat more protein for dinner you’re not going to cause yourself any problems because gluconeogenesis is demand driven, not something that switches on once you hit a certain amount of protein. If you are that worried then to put your mind at ease consider doing some lifting or bodyweight exercises at home.
veggies and butter so easy
It appears you are eating lean protein you should go for fatty protein then you only need a few table spoons of added butter/fat

If you are not hungry then don’t eat the fat and carbs that remain. Carbs are a limit, protein a goal and fat a guide.
I used to get into this in the beginning because the protein I was using was not fatty enough but no longer have this problem.
Careful planning of your days meals will also help avoid this.
Macadamia nuts / pecan nuts & Keto coffee are good ways to get in that extra fat if you still feel hungry. Decaf if its late in the day.
Some people have no issues when eating over their protein allowance, I personally notice a decrease in weight loss but 20-30 extra grams for 1 day is not going to make too much of a difference but its better to learn how to stay within your macros.
