Unexpected benefit - better sleep

Started keto, cold-turkey October 1, 2018. Was a die-hard pasta and bread eating machine with an insatiable appetite. Started keto to help lose the tire around my mid-section (38" waist) and hopefully, feel better - I was always tired and felt like crap; would get up 4-6 times per night.

About 2 weeks into keto I noticed I was getting up less frequently and it’s been improving. At this point, I might get up once a night at most and I seem to stay in a deep sleep and I wake up feeling refreshed. I haven’t been able to sleep a good night in 10 years and now I no longer require prescription sleep meds. I’m loving it!

Yes, isn’t keto wonderful? I had the same experience. My sleep is so much more refreshing on keto. Happy for you.

As a lifelong insomniac, I’m very happy for you!

I haven’t found a big difference on keto, but my insomnia has gradually decreased with age.
