Uncooked
PaulL debates the scientific and evolutionary advantage to eating left over animal carcasses in the wild. Brews exogenous ketones from a roadkilled Opossum in his lab, combines with bacon drip accelerant… Admin level guaranteed, cannot repudiate!
And it comes very handy when one is pregnant as the baby is safe from this at least
I definitely wouldn’t eat raw pork ever except of course cured stuff, it’s everywhere.
My aunt always had a whole smoked ham in her pantry when I was a kid…
But raw fresh pork? Definitely not, I don’t want worms, thank you very much (I hopefully have none).
Many people taste meatballs while making them, nope.
It seems that beef is safer for some reason but I still can’t be persuaded, I love my beef super well cooked anyway… 1 hour in a pressure cooker at least. I don’t know the art of steak making so I don’t do that. I am brave enough to try a medium steak at a steakhouse if I ever will have enough money to try a steak finally but I am not in a hurry.
Of course there are always risks, we can get diseases from cooked meat as well but the chance is WAY lower. And I hope proper places have okay inspection. I trust the nearby farms best, some unknown location that sells stuff to s supermarket is another level but let’s hope for the best…
And yep, parasites are super scary. I watched tons of videos from a very funny vet youtuber, he has dark humor because he needs it…
Shinita- I do not trust you, because you have an innocent looking parasitic worm as your profile pic, sorry. I think you were sent here from the Worm Confederacy to gain our trust and infiltrate our intravenous bacon drips.
Interesting conversation going on here I never have nor will I ever eat any animal protein raw and try to avoid even rare al though I do like rare roast beef with the blood. dripping out.
I have a couple cats hope my brain is still intact
she ain’t dead yet is she LOL
key being it is fine to eat raw meat. some items can be sketchy but it is a real deal eating in life. Like PaulL said alot of great receipes out there. Suishi is one of them
just google how to handle the meats to your satisfaction.
what meat/seafood to buy for best optium use in raw etc.
it really is a taste and eating preference of a person but yes it is a real thing if ya wanna go down that path then more research is a great thing.
you don’t like it, done deal. no use destroying it for others kinda ya know…allow others to do their food thing in the world, more power to them!! in that we eat what works for us. raw included
Sushi aside, the recipes for raw pork or beef generally involve some sort of acid, so they are actually somewhat “pre-digested” in the same way as they would be if cooked. I don’t know if the marinade kills germs the way heating would, however.
very true…hence the research into eating raw recipes is a good thing for someone wondering about it
Mett doesn’t require the use of any kind of acid; it’s just minced and seasoned, but it’s super strictly regulated. It comes practically straight off the pig and into your mouth ; )
Prime Rib is amazing too, dipped in bullion. I would never make it myself though, only at a SteakHouse with a good sanitation rating.
Most steaks taste better less cooked. I like veal and lamb well done and pork of course. Chicken juices need to be clear when you cut into it.
How do you know what’s in their bullion? It’s loaded with salt which isnt bad but the other ingredients?
Dingle is NOT a parasitic worm! I have no idea what he is but I guess his closest relatives are earthworms and leeches.
I really need to update my profile pic, his daughter is cuter. Just look at her when she made her debut, still being a tiny little thing (not like his dad is longer than a few cm, mind you):
(Some people see parasitic worms everywhere… Don’t listen to him, my little darlings…)
Wow, that some super extreme attitude! Good luck to pull it off, I never had a chance Raw stuff is everywhere. Even raw egg is in some dishes but of course if someone puts their mind of it, it’s as easy to avoid raw animal protein as added sugar. Needs some determination but easily doable if one doesn’t get forced into situations when it’s not the case.
I personally am very fine with raw eggs and even raw milk but raw meat, that must be cured or super fresh fish from a very reliable Japanese restaurant.
Oh most people have certain things as a stowaway (the special kind that NEVER leaves), herpes virus, toxoplasma gondii, it’s fine and dandy until they are inactive. Not ideal but we our world is even less so. Worms are super common too but thinking about them is more disturbing and they are actually active. I really hope my pretty safe (regarding this) life kept me from them.
Not difficult to avoid foods we dont want to eat. Us ketoers do it all the time.
In this State of NJ I find it hard to believe any restaurant is reliable. fI they can get away with it, they will.
I eat everything raw for a year. Raw meat, organs, fat, dairy - butter, milk, cream, cheese also drinking raw eggs, raw fruits and unheated honey. Zero veggies only veggie juices sometimes.
From my experience it is not only safe but also healthy.
Wow. Many people would disagree with you. Oh how many people I see complaining that it’s impossible to avoid sugar etc. I easily did it (not 365 days per year but very close and I still have 1-2 items with sugar I almost never use - pickles and a condiment - but I am very much aware of it and I decided I allow that. if I would have zero tolerance, I would just never buy them) but well, not everyone want to go that serious… I make most of my food from single ingredients, it’s more difficult if one has less time and isn’t at home so much. I agree that one can (almost always) find a not too difficult way if they are serious but many people still have problems. it may be not even circumstantial but mental…? I saw people crying over losing wheat flour due to gluten sensitivity… I wasn’t very sympathetic as I had just cut out several food groups very easily including grains But we people find very different things difficult.
What I mean is if you have a good reason to avoid or stop eating those foods that are bad for you. Reasons such as diabetes, obesity, painful joints, etc you will stop eating them unless you want to remain unhealthy.
I see young people drinking gobs of milkshakes and eating sundaes and wonder how they will look and feel when they get old and if they would be feeling fine if they limited or stopped that altogether.
Do you really think small amounts of fruits, dried fruits, bean soup is all that bad for our health?
