Two great burgers this week

I was in Vagas this week and was surprised that I would able continue eating keto on the strip. Besides a trip to a Brazilian steakhouse (that was the highlight of the whole trip). I ate at two burger places that were awesome.

The first was the Shakeshack … they had a SmokeShack burger, it is a cheeseburger with all-natural smoked bacon, chopped cherry pepper, and Shack sauce. I was concerned about the sauce but it turns out the whole things was 1g of carbs with a lettuce wrap in place of the bun. It was one of the best burgers I have eaten.

The second was a Bobby’s Burger Palace (Bobby Flay’s restaurant). I had a Bobby Blue burger that had blue cheese, bacon, lettuce, and tomato. They had a “topless” option that consisted the burger served on baby greens with balsamic dressing. I am not sure about the carbs in the dressing, I could not find any nutrition info online and they did not have it in the store (or the cashier I talked to did not think they did). This was also an awesome burger and the salad it was on was a brilliant option for getting rid of the bun.

I wanted to share the find and if you happen to see either restaurant (they both have multiple locations) I would highly recommend them for decent keto options.

Vegas likes to cater to as many as possible, so I imagine there will be keto centric places there first…

I am heading to Vegas in October. Can’t wait! There are three places now added to my list.

There should be a “where to eat when you’re in…” section of the forum

Can you remember what the name of the Brazilian steakhouse was?

Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse was the name of the place. It is off the strip near the Sliver Seven Casino. Google has it at 4.1 stars. I personally give it a 5, the meats were seasoned perfectly and everything on their fresh market bar was super high quality.

Meat and eye candy - yum! Just stay away from the cheesy bread puffs…

I always need to have In & Out Burger at least once while i’m in Vegas, there are are two west of the strip one at the south end on Tropicana just over the expressway (like directly west of NYNY), and the north end on Sahara about a mile ish west of the strip on the right hand side…

Denver’s getting a Shake Shack. Now I know what I’ll order.

Another great meat place in Vegas is Texas de Brazil. It’s on the south end of the strip.

Oh boy! As if I wasn’t excited enough already. Come on October! You’re taking to long!

That’s great. Just checked it out. We’re starting at the mirage so it’s only a short bit away. Business casual dress code puts me off. I am strictly a jeans and hoodie person.

My buddy and I did not check the website, the taxi driver recommended the place when we asked for a Brazilian steakhouse. I wore shorts and a button down shirt and my buddy had shorts and a polo shirt. They did not deny us nor did they treat us any different.

The Mirage has a Brazilian steakhouse in it, but it had low ratings and a number of folks we asked said there were better around.

Yes. I had steak in the mirage the last two times I went. 1st time, great. 2nd time, meh. Definitely not worth the money, but at least not that far back to the room

I have heard about this place in Vegas that seems to be bad for you but looking at the burgers all you have to do is omit the bun. lots of bacon!
