Twelve Days of Carnivore!

(Vic) #221

No, not this time.
We have a vacuum sealer. Leftovers are vacuum sealed and then eaten after a couple of days.

We are a family of 5, so lots of meat on the table here, the cat gets leftovers too

ZC levels and 'weirdo dieting for death amts vs. high veg/crop staples for profit and more all just crazy in that ā€˜peasants back in old times’ ate the veg and kept them unhealthy and complacent…royalty ate the peasants and deer and fish and more. Life is real if we see it thru human control of what other humans put on others as control…yea bit weird on how I typed that but full truth.

Eat animal protein in full glory and full life comes to us and if old times or new where we have to avoid ā€˜fake chem food’ then we know, animal protein is full king and plant existence is less than, seen all thru the eons on this planet.

rambled LOL

Thank you! :bouquet:

Right? Here is what the American Cancer Institute says:

If you eat red meat , limit consumption to no more than about three portions per week. Three portions is equivalent to about 350–500g (about 12–18oz) cooked weight.

But sugar is not a problem. You can have 6 teaspoons of sugar a day. According to the ā€œCancer Expertsā€.

That’s 8 oz’s a week, I think.

Half as much sugar as red meat. The bastards.

I love it

Oh dear…7days, 2mad, why em I still alive?

#225

AMEN!!! we fight the truth of for profit advertising and its profits cause while ā€˜they had decent intentions’ way back in the day, now literally all gloves are off in food control and population control’ as real life.

oh yea we zc people see it HAHA

#226

:sunny: yup you marked now :skull_and_crossbones::eyes:

(Edith) #227

Lunch

(Laurie) #229

Vic, your food always looks so good.

I way overate today… I’m still struggling with snacky foods. I need to just leave them alone. But I’ve got a little lying voice in my head that’s been working hard to spin me out of control the last couple weeks. This morning was cold ground lamb, bone broth, pĆ¢tĆ©, halloumi, eggs, butter and hollandaise sauce, plus half a bag of 4505 sea salt chicharrones. Dinner was cold ground beef and butter l, plus the other half of the bag of chicharrones with some mascarpone cheese.

I know this trouble @ketodaisy.

I had to say goodbye to Smokehouse Almonds, Pork Rinds and Cheese. Real goodbyes. I let the foods just sit, in my mouth. Really tasting them. Smelling them. But not in a ā€œyum yumā€ way, really identifying the MSG, the casomorphine, the airy salt crunch. Trying to just exorcise them of any spell they may have as my ā€œfave treatsā€.

I finished the Cambozola. Gave away the pork rinds. But the Smokehouse almonds had to go in the trash.

you are ok here, you are not some off the wall lameo trying to hang on plan like I would feel LOL or gonna go crazy at all…you are fine. everyone goes thru this and it is very normal. we do so well til, bam, whatever it is gets us and our resolve is tested and it is OK OK OK and you eat any and all zc food and snacky zc food and all you need at this time cause it is fine…this is transition happening and in full truth, you are doing just fine…weather the storm ya know and I see you doing it very well actually…and knowing ya know…you see it, feel it, know it so you can adapt thru it!

I watch historical channels about how people ate… And peasants actually ate lots of salmon at some parts. It was just fish from the rivers, noble folks didn’t eat it…
I think no people could live on vegs, they ate cheap grains with it. Still bad, of course but at least they get energy from the food. I am always very curious when I read about extremely poor diets than how on earth they could live and work… Protein is important and when people eat little even from their not very protein rich plants and not much else… I just don’t get it. And people grow up even in North-Korean camps where they barely eat some little plant stuff (and rats if they can catch them. they do, meat is highly appreciated, to put it lightly. it’s basically survival).

Limitations and guides can be absolutely idiotic. I never cared about them but if I did, I would have stopped when I first read that we shouldn’t eat more than 2 eggs per week. But it’s such an old deprecated thing I don’t even want to talk about it, I just remembered it again.

I have problems, some food aversion (towards most meat I have. it’s a problem even with adding eggs again) and hunger and temptation… I think I know what I did wrong and how to solve it. I need planning now. Normally I can chill and eat whatever carni food I have but not these times.

I start to think that what I think I am able to eat and what I am able to eat are two different things. I don’t even try something I feel a negative appetite towards but it’s possible it wouldn’t be a problem. Still not ideal but in harder times, it’s better than eating not right and not even enjoying it at all.

Oh well, personal problems and challenges, I will do better, eventually. Giving up is what I am the worst at.

It’s true, but your enthusiasm and advice is also most definitely appreciated - sometimes people fall into a rhythm with their eating and don’t post much on a community anymore. That’s understandable, but if the people who are further down the track don’t stick around for a bit to guide the newbies, some of that knowledge is lost - so I appreciate that you share your thoughts and knowledge.

There’s lots of great info from a lot of great posters in these threads, and it’s all so useful and inspiring. :star_struck:

One key thing I remember from my early reads of the threads was about: bacon, chicken, and eggs. Ironically, a meal of bacon and eggs was one of the things that made me think, ā€œI could probably go carnivore,ā€ - but I really took on board what was said about bacon not being a particularly dense meat, or having eggs as an accompanying part of the meal rather than the base, and the same for chicken.

That really put me on the right path, and I’m super grateful for it.

On the 9th day of Carbsblip
My true love fed to me
Another long sleep in
But then a meet up at the coffee van
Overlooking the ocean
Drinking a black coffee
With a coco-butter nib in it
Talking about politics
It was NoFUN
Then home for breakfast
It’s another omelette
3 fresh eggs
3 slices middle bacon
Topped with Jarlsberg cheese
There was a hippy protest
At the local government offices
We sang hippy protest songs
Against coastal overdevelopment
I had salmon smokies
What are they you ask?
It was smoked salmon slices
Rolled around globs of liver pate
They were delicious
The protest was stressful
despite the nice singing
I felt my resolve dislocate
I ate some chocolate
That was the carbsblip
Perfection is a trauma
Human is a reality
Not a problem really
Start again straight away
The partridge ate some carbage
So now it’s a…
Fartridge in a fear treeeeeeeeeee!

It’s a very hot, sunny summers day here again today. One of those days where you turn on the cold water tap and hot water comes out.

Had a nice cool swim at the beach with the dog this morning.

(Vic) #236

We had a few shots of gin and genepi last night at a frends house last night (yes we are criminals).

After 5pcs 3cl shots I felt like I had half the bottle

A little bit of booze get us all the way in the fun zone, did we have a good time.

Good thing is that after 2 hours, we were sober again and no hangovers.

Wonder how this affects the ketosis?
The booze is ZC

yes so many of us come into zc with a kinda ā€˜atkins attitude’ and of course from atkins we had the bacon and eggs and hot dogs and other meat staples but when one goes all in with zc…we then find that the dense meat proteins like a good old steak is so important to us. I watched the old timers eat and like I never saw bacon, eggs, deli meats, you know things one keeps in their menu when we start this plan. Old timers were saying I cooked a 4 lb. roast and ate it all today or I made 2 racks of ribs, one for the family to share and 1 for me and I was like omg the amt of big meat they are eating and then I asked more questions and most people said the bacon eggs and fish even had to be side items cause it was never enough and darn if I found that to be so true for me also. I am always glad someone has alot more time on plan than me cause then at least I have someone to chat with and say, hey what is happening here? and even if their experience won’t or doesn’t always equal mine, I kinda then got some good footings to start with ya know to fix any troubles I was having. This isn’t an easy plan to truly adopt for most so any and all info I could get on how to make it a lifestyle long term, oh yea I wanted that LOL

#238

omg FB!!! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
and the beach with Billie…ahhh, so nice!

it sure does  I know I saved money on drinking cause with zc I do get buzzed faster LOL Glad you had fun.

effect ketosis, you know if you are drinking less I doubt it has much effect if you only party up every now and then, like me. Used to party a bunch back in the old days, being older now and on zc, heck I just don’t want it as much but I never did ketosis checks ever on myself over the years with zc. But I would think that bit ya had won’t do anything to you in any dramatic way.
