Trying for steady numbers

I’m fairly new to Keto. Its been about 7 weeks.
I’m trying to find ways to keep my ketones up, but they seem to move around a lot. I am NOT trying to loose weight, or manage any type of diabetes, but am eating Keto for other health reasons.

I suspect that I mostly need to up my fat intake, which I am working on (plan to make fat bombs). I am currently pregnant, and about 137 pounds, but will be having the baby in under 2 weeks.

Any advice as to what I can do? Overall my glucose levels are good and ketones are OK… And I was able to get insurance to cover a majority of the cost of testing supplies. What surprised me most is that I have a much better co-pay on ketone strips ($20 for 200) than I do for glucose strips ($60 for 200)! This is nice because it actually lets me experiment some with testing and not have to worry too much about spending lots of money on strips.

I’m sure that some of the high (in comparison) numbers are due to the “dawn effect”…

It’s completely normal for levels to be up and down, you don’t need need to keep them at any specific level.

Figured that, but still wanted to ask :slightly_smiling_face:
