Tracking macros

#1

Hello,

Just joined this forum. I jumped into Keto at the beginning of the month. I am amazed at how it has curbed my cravings. My energy levels are up and I no longer have joint pain. I am looking for advice on tracking food, macros etc… Does anyone use an app? What have you found that works best for you?

Much appreciated!

Chronometer seems to get the most votes.

Yes, cronometer is my favorite!

I wanted to get away from counting and found keto and it suits me not counting. After all this is going to be the rest of my life we are talking about here. The Chrono app I see a lot if you want to go that route. Me I just limit carbs and let God sort the rest out.

Most stop tracking when they feel comfortable and confident with their food choices, but it is helpful for newbies until they get the hang of it. Sneaky carbs and all

I use and recommend this one. One of the main reasons is that it has a tightly-controlled food database that will only be altered by the staff at the app dev company, not just any nuffie with a phone.

It’s also easy to add your own foods/recipes to, and if you subscribe, has awesome reporting functions.

Just read somewhere that archaeologists at a Paleolithic dig uncovered a Fitbit with MFP on it. See how primitive our caveman ancestors were! Thank God we know better, these days. . . .

:joy::joy: on man, i almost chocked on my morning coffee :joy:

Calculators are very useful in the beginning, simply because we have (had) no idea what the nutritonal values of foods are…oncr you start plugging in the numbers, you realize why you were fat :joy:
Then you get familar with foods, nutrional values and the carbs can’t surprise you anymore
