That would often happen to me when I don’t eat enough fat relative to protein, even on days where I eats lots of meat. (I’m talking 2.5lbs+) I’m thinking it has something to possibly do with the excess protein converting to sugar?
This does not happen simply because there is an excess of protein. The body has many ways to dispose of excess amino acids, since it can’t store them, the way it can glucose and fatty acids. The picture is more nuanced than was formerly believed.
