The softening Pecans thread reminded me of Roasted Pecans.
I do these every year in the winter and now that the temps are dropping, it’s getting time for a batch.
Roasted Savory Spiced Pecans
(makes 2 cups)
2 cups pecan halves
2 Tbs. butter (melted)
1 1/2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp finely ground sea salt
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
8 shakes of Tabasco sauce (optional)
This works great in a convection too!
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside. In a medium sized mixing bowl, add the melted butter and all spices and mix to combine. Add the pecan halves and toss to evenly coat. Bake for 5mins, stir and bake for additional 3-5mins. Cool thoroughly. Easy-Peasy!
