They're Made Out of Meat

This is a favorite short film of mine that I only just recalled because I saw one of the actors in another tv show. It’s worth the 6 minutes of your time. Not sure if it’s humor or not, but I don’t know where else to put it.

Ah yes. Originally from a Terry Bisson book, I believe.

WTH have I seen this before?! The dark corners of Netflix?

…as published in Omni, 1990.

OMG, I used to subscribe to Omni when they were still on dead trees. I’m old.

I’m old too. I had a subscription to Twilight Zone magazine back in the day, and when they stopped publishing, they transferred my subscription to Omni.

Ben Bailey (the guy in the suit) hosted Cash Cab on Discovery Channel here in the US for about 7 years. He’s a great stand-up comic. I recommend any of his shows, particularly his “Road Rage” stand-up special.

I love this short film. Thanks for posting it.

I’m glad y’all enjoy it! The gentleman in the marching band outfit is on Hell on Wheels, for those that watch it. It drives my girlfriend nuts, but I never forget a face and rarely forget a voice. I will literally drop everything until I trace back to where I’ve seen an actor before.

When I was a kid/early teen I worked in the library my mom ran. Someone donated a stack of Omni magazines, and I think that’s where I stumbled across this story the first time!
