The difference between a low-carb and a keto group

#1

My husband and I volunteer for an organization where we typically see most of the other volunteers once a month. One woman, an older lady, noticed that we had been losing weight and commented on it last month. She was very intrigued by our diet and said she might try it. So when I saw her this month, I mentioned to her that we would be going to a low-carb support group this week, in case she was interested in going (not realizing that my husband had already invited her).

She looked totally confused and said she thought my husband had said we were going to a KETO group.

Some people get really bent out of shape over the difference between just “low-carb” and “keto,” but I was surprised that SHE would be so animated about it. I said, “Well, low-carb, keto…the group supports both.”

She exclaimed, "Oh! I thought your husband said, “aikido group”!

Wish I could have seen the look on her face when, out of the blue, my husband invited her to participate in martial arts with us.
