Thanksgiving redo

(Karla Sykes) #1

Most of my friends on this site now my son passed away a few days before Thanksgiving. Needless to say I did not have much of an appetite for Thanksgiving. Well today I woke up and I decided God dang I want a turkey and some cornbread stuffing. Of course doing keto diet cornbread stuffing is definitely a No-No so I’m looking around on the internet to find alternative keto stuffing recipes. Feel free to share if you know any. I will update you on my dinner for tonight A redo of Thanksgiving!

Again so sorry for your loss! I would do the turkey, skip the dressing, and do the sides that are low carb. We make green beans with lots of chopped up bacon and they are delicious. Maybe look up some low carb desserts too! I say celebrate but in a way that wont make you regret it and feel miserable.

I actually made a ketogenic stuffing. Using my low carb cornbread recipe with chopped mushrooms, green peppers, onions, red peppers, and carrots. I also did a ketogenic gravy

Sounds delicious, hope you enjoyed it all. Good for you, treating yourself that way. I know the lose of your son is very hard, but you must live well and healthy, since he can not do that any longer, I’m certain he would want that for you. HUGS
