Thank you to all who have helped me!

Well now you’ve peaked my curiosity and I want to read this toothpaste thread.

But anyway, don’t be intimidated. You joined shortly after me, and I feel like we’ve been on this journey together.

Sometimes I feel like maybe I put too much input in for a new comer, but I’ve always learned best through active participation. And when I taught, there was no better way for a student to absorb the material than to have to explain it to someone else. We may get some things wrong, but there’s plenty of people here to help us. And I never mind being corrected. It’s all a learning experience.

I prefer minor keys. . Gosh, so off the subject of Keto!

I love following you LeeAnn. Just feel like there are extremists on this forum, and I tend to over react. I have my favorites on the forum, and will stick with them. Every day, is well, a new day. I try to stay on task and make good decisions. Thanks for your support.

Remember when he was young? Still an awesome pianist!

(Empress of the Unexpected) #46

Such a basic sonata. Almost entry level. But he rocks it!

Tbh when I first joined this forum I was freaked out by the don’t do this or that stuff. Anything with artificial sweeteners is bad, or it says sugar on a package so your body will freak out. I found what works for me, I make sure I stay in ketosis, but I honestly calmed down on labels now. I don’t eat artificial sweetner all the time. But I know what my body can handle, what does and doesn’t throw me out of ketosis. Heck a few weeks ago I splurged and had Chinese food I wasn’t expecting on. But I jumped back on the horse, a few days I was back in ketosis. Honestly sometimes life just happens. Some are strict on this lifestyle change. It’s fine to do you. Your here to fix your life whatever reason that may be. You choose what works and doesn’t for you, if someone gives advice you don’t care for, thank them, don’t use it if you don’t want to and move on with your day. There’s different spectrum of people doing different things on this forum. Just KCKO.

Thank you! I really appreciate the support!

I’ve been reminded that music is healing.

We’re all gonna make it.

@Anniegirl9 Don’t look at the thread. Step away from the thread! I read it and ignored it. If I get to the point that I have to start worrying about toothpaste then I might consider leg amputation as an easier way to lose weight! There may be some people with specific medical issues that it would apply to, but not for general health and weight loss. Glad you’re staying @regina

Ellie
Spot on. If we start jumping at toothpaste as part of keto, I am out. Sure, some folks may have some special issue that they need to take care of by changing toothpaste, but for the rest of us? Errrr, no.

So, everyone, please KCKO.

(LeeAnn Brooks) #56

I call them purists. And the first time one told me I couldn’t have my dark chocolate, I was like “whatever dude. You do you. I’ll do me.” At least that’s what was in my head.

I think advice is one thing but it does step over the line sometimes.

The biggest reason I have come to love Keto in this short time is the feeling that this is something I can do for a lifetime. Take away things like a couple pieces of chocolate now and then or eventually a glass of red wine on occasion and it no longer feels that way.

I get if someone has a serious health problem, but there are those like us who just want to get healthy and maybe avoid those health issues altogether. And being here on Keto, even with some artificial sweetners (gasp!) thrown in is a far better alternative than the lifestyle we came from.
KCKO!

Stood in the toothpaste aisle for an inordinately long amount of time this evening post the infamous ‘toothpaste thread’.

Ended up buying a ‘natural’ toothpaste sweetened with xylitol and stevia. Will report back if I suddenly lose 50lbs as a result of the change…:joy:

@Regina I’m glad you’re staying x

(Karen) #58

Hahaha 1/2 bag cheetos here yesterday. Fasting today. We all are doing the best we can. Life happens, not hyper focusing on toothpaste. Lololol

If it makes you feel better I don’t like the taste of grass fed butter gasp (insert appropriate emoji here). I’m a terrible keto person.

(TJ Borden) #60

Yeah, and I’m pretty sure you can get kicked out of the forum for saying it :joy:
