Testing sweeteners

Good day everyone!

I’ve been on the ketogenic diet for over a year and a half now. I’ve been at a plateau for a while now and I’m wanting to try testing my blood sugar with sweeteners to see how they affect me.

How long would it take to get a blood glucose response on a meter and how significant would it need to be to show I have a response to that sweetener? Also would coffee be a good solvent for the sweetener or should I just eat a teaspoon or so of the sweetner directly? I’ve never been diabetic so I’ve never had to test really other than when they do my biometrics at the doctor.

Ew. Gross! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Surely the most useful and appropriate test is to see how you react to the sweetener as you would actually use it. Why do you want sweeteners? To make your coffee more palatable? For fat bomb recipes? Then test/compare them in that real-life-use context.
