Tested new frozen keto enchiladas

#1

So I just got these frozen keto enchiladas from the same company that makes those little chicken-crust pizzas. (Not sure if it’s OK to mention the brand here).

But here’s my review:

I tried the chicken-chile verde enchiladas and cheese enchiladas with red sauce. The chicken-green chile ones were really good! Especially for being 4 total carbs.

Only criticism is they were a bit on the salty side, even for a salt-o-holic like me. Of course that can be remedied with some sour cream or crema mexicana on top, so no big deal!

The cheese ones were also good, although it was too much cheese for me. They also make red beef and green pork versions I want to try.

As you can see, they’re pretty small – but they’re super filling.

BOTTOM LINE: I will order more of these! Especially when I want a quick breakfast.

I might give them a try. I ordered a large quantity of the pizzas when they had the black friday sale, which brought the price to around $3.50 per pizza. My freezer is super full of them… At this point i prefer real/whole foods more but they are convenient.

Hah, wish I’d known about that. I like these better than the pizzas, but then, I live on Mexican food!

Also, I have yet to make a decent tortillas substitute for this purpose from scratch.

I found the pizza at a local King Soopers (Kroger). According to the company’s website, I should be able to find the enchiladas at a couple of stores around here.

Thanks for the review. I was really curious if they were worth buying.

I will have to check those out thanks for the review. DH loves their pizza, I like them. I love Mexican foods, so would probably love the having some of these around when I don’t feel like cooking.

These look good but I have no idea what brand/company you guys are talking about. Can you email me the brand name or a link maybe?

Me too! Maybe if it is ok you can post it?

https://realgoodfoods.com/ makes good pizza and it looks like they are expanding. As we are not profiting from mentioning them it is fine. It is so hard to find tasty foods for emergency days. These fit the bill. I looked for the Mexican items at my local Kroger, but they didn’t have them. They had tons of breakfast pizzas tho. Might even try one of those soon.

I just saw an advert that realgood products are available at 1200 walmarts. I’m going to check mine out and see.

I took a look at the nutrition labels at the realgoodfoods site. Of the four varieties (beef, chicken, cheese, and pork), one has 9 grams of fat, 4 grams of carbs, and 20 grams of protein. The second has 10, 4, and 20. The third has 25, 5, and 25. And the fourth has 9, 4, and 20. However, it’s not clear to me which products correspond with each of these labels. Anyone know?

I noticed, too, that the tortilla in all varieties is made from chicken breast and parmesan cheese, but also includes a small amount of sunflower oil.

not sure of the specifics. walmart at least by me only carries the pizza. they claim to be keto friendly which I suppose they could be if I add some more cheese as they are a little lower in fat than I’d like to be keto. but in a pinch it could be a good option. the enchiladas I have to go to more of a health-store. I mostly have wanted to try this since I saw them (pre-keto) but didn’t want to pay for shipping.

I did notice the pizzas say 4 grams of carbs but it’s 2 servings so really 8. still not bad. fathead pizza ultimately has at least that much I seem to recall.
