Hosted an Epiphany brunch for three families from our church today, which included muffins, pumpkin bread, mini pastries, tater tot casserole, and croissant sandwiches. Plus a waffle bar, run by my youngest son. And not one bite of it passed my lips.
We did also have 2 varieties of frittata, a Denver Omelette casserole, and meat-wrapped cheese sticks. So I wasn’t hurting for options.
But still, despite the fact that we were hosting a bunch of sugar-burners, I didn’t even consider partaking of the carbage.
Bonus moment was my wife (who is not keto, but eats a lot less carbs since I went keto) pointing out the frittatas and omelet casserole to our guests as low carb options. Let’s hear it for normalizing low carb and keto eating!
