Tell me your favorite high-sodium snacks!

food

I’m looking to add more dietary sodium to my regimen. My water, which is about 2 liters spread out over the day, already has a 1:1 ratio of 1.5 teaspoons of Himalayan Pink salt and Lite Salt, but I’d like to take in more food-based sodium. My food is also salted liberally, in case the question were to come up.

What’s your favourite salty snack and/or addition to your food?

Thanks!

Assuming you do need more salt, olives are a great choice.

I meant 1.5 teaspoons. I’ll have to edit that.

The more salt, the better!, though!

Not really relevant to your question here as the “meal” is not keto, but my wife just had a cheese cannaloni microwave type “meal” (which by the way I’ve never consumed my self even when I was not watching my food sources as closely as I do now, I always stayed far away from packaged type “meals”)
but as I have a habit of reading nutrition labels now I noted that the 400gram pack had 35% salt. I consume a fair bit of salt through the day, aiming for two tea spoons, but 140 grams of salt in one meal for someone on basically a SAD (or UK) diet. She has been advised by doctor to consume more salt due to some heath issues, but 140 grams in one portion!!! Still at least the sugar content was “only” 15% or so
I digress.
I concur with olives, stuffed olives, olives with a little cheese. yum yum.
I also salt my coffee, usually 1/16th of tea spoon in a mug.

I just like to suck on coarse sea salt, but I’m weird that way. Pickles are also pretty good.

Pickles! And then when you finish the pickles filter the pickle juice and keep that to drink!

pork rinds + ACV

Pickle, polish not kosher. Salt and vinegar pork rinds.

I start each day with a mug of water to which I’ve added a teaspoon or more of concentrated himalayan salt water (sole) which I make by soaking big chunks of that ancient salt in a little glass jug I keep on my kitchen counter. Whenever I feel ‘off’ or am feeling blah from pollen/dust exposure, I take it also in the evenings.

In winter I drank a big mug of all natural organic european made broths from stock cubes (Kallo brand) which deliver a teaspoon of salt per cube! It translates to a nice dose of sodium!

Just today I started to add BLG nori seaweed snacks (which I learned about somewhere here on the forum I think, and got them on Amazon). They deliver 84mg of sodium to compliment salted avocado or whatever else one is eating. 84mg is pretty low sodium, BUT it’s a tasty way to add more sodium along with the fun of using the little seaweed sheets to hold bites of food and CRUNCHING them.

Boullion or salty bone broth is hard to beat.

They have huge packs of them at Costco where I live (TX).
