Sweets craving

(Elvira) #1

What sweets do you crave the most on keto?

(Ron) #2

Cheese and nuts. Grazing these is my downfall.

Chocolate, so I have the occasional bite of a Lily’s salted almond milk chocolate bar.

Dark chocolate and liquorice. … I have to limit 85-90% chocolate to one 10g square, if not I will end up with the whole bar…
And berries, I have to be very careful. I have a rule, berries in summertime , in growth season is OK if I keep below 20 g carb a day including breakfast and dinner and only after dinner. We have strawberries and rhubarb in our garden and I like using it. Growth season is short for the strawberries where we live.

The same here! Especially with chocolate…so hard to stop once you started eating it.
And I noticed that blueberries tend to kick me out of ketosis pretty often

(Michelle) #6

Dark chocolate. 85%+. I buy the individually wrapped squares to keep myself honest.

I love chocolate but I haven’t eaten it since I started keto 6 months ago. But I have made this a couple of times and it’s awesome. I substitute butter for the coconut oil. I never make frosting, I like it with whipped cream and some berries on top. But cream cheese frosting would be great too.

I ate this Christmas morning for breakfast!:cowboy_hat_face:

Cheesecakes, pancakes, apple strudle, peanutbutter Kitkat, these sorts of things

My strongest craving is spinach stew. Second on the list seems to be reindeer meat and cod (with liver) , likely because those are the highest quality proteins (and fat) that my body knows. My general fat craving is olive oil, probably because of home made pizza and pasta sauce.

I don’t know about craving sweets. I can make sweetish cheesecake with just stevia sweetener, but it’s not like I constantly crave it. I love liquorice, and eat raw nuggets. Way sweeter than sugar, in a very satisfying way.

If there’s anything I really miss, it’s freshly baked bread, like real pizza and focaccia.

dark chocolate for soem reason…i am not a huge fan of many sweets but i CRAVE chocolate. Next is dairy…but i try abd stay away since my stomach isnt a great fan of it.

I crave cocoa and I eat it regularly. I sweeten it with Splenda. I also crave venison like a zombie craves brains. I love the stuff but don’t get the pleasure of eating it regularly which is why it’s such a treat.

As for carby cravings, those stupid little sugar and coconut covered six pack donuts by Hostess. I can’t stop seeing them out of the corner of my eye at every gas station. I don’t buy them, but those suckers were my favorite.

Keto chocolate mousse (hwc, cocoa powder, vanilla and sweetner) quells all sweet cravings for me! I also often enjoy homemade chocolate (cocoa powder, coconut oil, sweetner and salt frozen in silicone molds)

Thankfully I haven’t had real sugar cravings in a long, long time, but if I go straight for a big spoonful of coconut oil or butter sprinkled with salt and that usually does it for me.

What I crave is anything with sugar… from bread to chocolate. But it’s not a strong craving and easily ignored. What do I eat to assuage the sweet tooth? 92% dark chocolate, and Adapt Your Life Keto bars. I just discovered them. A perfect size for an after meal snack (just 20 grams) if you’re one to crave sweets after eating a ā€˜real meal.’

I no longer have cravings.
Those seem to stick around when you use keto sweeteners.
I am carnivore, I crave bacon!

(Katie the Quiche Scoffing Stick Ninja ) #15

Candied walnuts are my go to, but they are more-ish.
I also like some strawberries with whipped cream.
When I make proper sweets, I stick to coconut chocolate slice, but haven’t made those in awhile.
I’m the only Keto person in my house so it’s difficult not to keep on grazing on the things that I make.

Watching The Walking Dead, as we speak. For good, better, or for worse.

I crave the unbelievably non-keto raw chocolate chip cookie dough and caramel macchiatos.
