Surprising NSV

I will preface this by saying I’m not doing keto to lose weight. I’ve been fat my whole life, I’ve been dieting with intent to lose since I was 14 (I just turned 31) and approaching keto for the same reason just isn’t healthy, mentally, for me.

That said, I wouldn’t mind being somewhat smaller so I can shop at more stores for clothing. I LOVE fashion, and while there are more and more plus size options the ones which are trendiest and best made are incredibly expensive.

But on to the non scale victory (which was a surprise because I haven’t been weighing myself.) I have a wedding next weekend, and am choosing between a few outfits for it. I put on the dress I thought I’d choose to take a pic to send a friend for advice, and it was too big!

I last wore it in mid June when it fit nicely. Now, its loose enough that the style looks wrong (it’s just off the shoulder, with a pencil type skirt and some pleating, and requires just a bit of tension on the body to work)
I may take it in and use it anyway, but I was shocked to realize how differently it fit! I got out a tape measure, and I’ve lost about two inches each from bust, waist, and hip.

This is fabulous! Well done you!!! Get your sewing machine out and re love your preloved clothes

I had a similar experience today. Had tried on a lovely linen/silk jacket about 6 weeks ago which was tight on the arms so I didn’t buy it. Saw it again today (same size). Tried it on and it was loose on the arms! Even better, its now half the price from 6 weeks ago! So although I’ve only dropped 2 kg in scales weight I continue to lose inches and save UK £!!! Life is good! Ali
