Suggest for next year's ketofest....dexa scans? maybe even CAC scans?

@carl @richard

I wonder if we could get a local company to do a discount on DEXA scan for body comp. Once a year is probably more than enough for most people. There’s a high proportion of folks who know what a DEXA scan is and would want easy access to one in your listening audience.

Same with CAC scan…although that gets a bit more complication with the dr stuff.

Just a thought!

How long does a scan take? Would they be able to accommodate that many people

I would love this! It’s almost like a Groupon spa service or food sensitivity testing type of thing, and attendees could select it with tickets so they would know how many to prepare for!

I would consider going to ketofest just to have access to all this technology in one place - maybe at a little discount, that would sure be nice. Add in a few complete blood panels - liver, thyroid, lipid particle size, fasting insulin and so on! I’m putting together a list of the tests I’d like to have (most of which aren’t covered by insurance anyway, so no need to involve my PC doctor), and they’re elusive, far and wide, and pricey one by one.

The scan itself takes about 2 minutes, printing the report takes about 1 minute. So the whole process start to finish could be done in ~5 minutes.

I bought a Groupon to have mine done, so I’ll let you know when I get it…

CAC takes a couple minutes. But they may have to fill out some paperwork

Mine was less than 5 minutes
The company , in SoCal, their mobile vans do events as well
