Sad but true. There needs to be a fall guy to stop people looking for the real villain. Let’s face it, government and medical establishment made it WAY too easy :flushed:.

Not sure what the tobacco industry tried back in the day (apart from fake science) in terms of shifting the blame… pollution?

The article title “50 Years Ago, Sugar Industry Quietly Paid Scientists To Point Blame At Fat” ought to read “Started Paying” instead of “Paid”. It hasn’t stopped. It’s common to find sugar pushers such as Coke and Pepsi supporting both research and organizations such as the ADA and AHA.
