When starting keto I switched from the sugar sodas to the sugar free ones.
I think I am exaggerating on them a little and I do not quite understand if they are neutral or bad for health.

It is best for your health and for sugar/carb addictions to give up sugar and sugar free items. Try over time to drink less till you don’t drink any.

I know people that want to binge eat carbs sometimes triggered by artificial sweeteners.

I don’t do artificial sweeteners except once every 2 weeks with 2 drops of stevia in HWC. And when I do I want to eat carbs. Going for giving it up completely.

After being keto for a few months I decided to have a diet drink. I had a massive energy collapse and headache. I reckon my body was expecting sugar from the taste and pumped out insulin which dropped my blood sugar. Haven’t done it since and will try not to!

Are they good for you? No. Can they be neutral in relation to weight loss, yes, for some. For others, who may have a reaction to the artificial sweeteners they can slow or stall losses.
